FULL-SPECTRUM INSIDERS …

It’s not just Republican neo-Confederate insiders making bank off of South Carolina’s government-run port.

Liberal insiders are getting paid, too …

According to our sources, the S.C. State Ports Authority (SCSPA) has had a contract with The Podesta Group in Washington, D.C. for several years.

Yes … that’s the uber-liberal firm founded by Hillary Clinton campaign manager John Podesta, whose leaked emails have exposed the corrupt pay-to-play nature of the Clinton Crime Syndicate.

Who knew our port was paying, though?

Sources at the SCSPA confirmed the contract but could not immediately tell us the amount.  We’re told the group – which employs S.C. Democratic Party (SCDP) chairman Jamie Harrison – has been managing the agency’s push to deepen its harbor.

We initially supported this project, although we’ve since come to discover state lawmakers and port leaders weren’t entirely honest about the competitive advantage it purports to provide.

Imagine that …

The SCSPA – whose appointees are answerable to governor Nikki Haley – has come under intense scrutiny in recent months due to worsening performance dataquestionable expenses and dubious long-term plans.  And that’s before we get to the gift-wrapped competitive advantage Haley provided to the Port of Savannah, Georgia – which has been eating Charleston’s lunch for the better part of the past decade.

But hey, at least all the political insiders are getting paid, right?
