STORM SYSTEM MOVING ACROSS WATERLOGGED PALMETTO STATE …
While political battles rage regarding root causes, total repair costs and methods of payment, it’s important to remember the Palmetto State’s road and bridge crisis is ongoing.
As of this writing, a total of 231 roads and 105 bridges in South Carolina remain closed in the aftermath of “Floodmaggedon” – this month’s historic rainfall/ flooding event.
That’s down from a total of 368 roads and 159 bridges late Monday – arguably the peak of the crisis.
Oh, and there’s a big line of thunderstorms currently moving across the state that’s going to dump additional rainfall on soaked cities and swollen rivers …

Not good …
Flash flood watches and warnings are in effect all over the state, which was already significantly saturated prior to “Floodmaggedon” dumping several trillion gallons of rain on it this week.
For the official update on road and bridge closings, check out the S.C. Department of Transportation (SCDOT)’s website – although as one of our readers recently pointed out this agency hasn’t exactly been on the leading edge during this historic storm.
Nonetheless, here is their latest information …

HILLARY HELL: DOWN 10 POINTS IN LESS THAN WEEK….LMAO…
paul ryan running home and hiding under his bed waiting for the speaker disaster to blow over, poor guy is shaking like a chihuahua, now that is funny
And that has what to do with the rain? How’s the Irmo poop flood working out.
OK, SC…….How much do you need?
I know….I know you guys are conservative lawmakers.
Blah, blah, blah….
Check’s in the mail…
There’s only one solution for all this,
Fiscal Conservatism!
Not ONE penny from the federal government for disaster relief.
Instead a tax cut for the wealthy.
You know to”create” jobs!
You forgot grinding up the poor dead and making paste to feed the wealthy and Haley. .waste not want not…..Soylent Green is People.
It may not be green, but could genius marketing.

Let’s punish the wealthy for being successful and job creators.
The only solution is a lifetime of dependency. That way we can ensure you’ll always vote Democrat.
Maybe!!! Let’s cut state income taxes for the wealthy, and they’ll want to fix the dams with the savings, because they like to fix dams and make people safe. OK – let’s try it. I get a tax cut, and I’ll let you know what dam I’ll fix and when – sometime in 2035.
There is a way to prove to your children that you are a true Democrat. Make them a bowl of ice cream, then eat 90% of it in front of them. That shows them how liberalism works. LOL
well at least they would get some, the refrigerator would not be working in the first place in a conservative kitchen, cause they would not pay for the maintenance for it to be working in the first place
I don’t think there is a national problem with refrigerator repair and the government plays no roll, but healthcare is a different story.
I know how to fix it federally subsidized refrigerator insurance.
Even better, eat it all and tell em you’re a 1%er.
BRAVO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
that’s what Hillary would do, while her husband would be getting a bj in the back from the girl working the counter
No one is taxed at 90%.
They are private dams. They should be repaired by private money to pass inspection or breached in a way that they are not a danger to others or damage neighbors property.
Some of the dams are private some used to be private but were taken over by DOT when they built roads across them (Lake Elizabeth Dam, Beaver Creek Dam, Overcreek Dam and Carys Lakes Dam to name a few). Either way at this point the majority of them (especially on Gills Creek) have to be put back because they provide flood control under normal conditions. If the dams aren’t there to slow the water down East Columbia and Forest acres will look like last Sunday every time we have a heavy rain. If the non-entities that own them can’t put them back then The State, County or FEMA is going to have to unless most of the area surrounding Gills Creek in Columbia is abandoned.
Old Mill in Lexington is owned by local municipalities. Not sure about the other two in Lexington county.
I live in the Low Country. I pick the last option.
1- It’s OUR money you Fucking IDIOT…not the government’s. We EARNED it, they TOOK IT for Disaster Relief. This is a Disaster you NAZI Piece of Communist SHIT…
2- A Fiscal Conservative DEMANDS ignorant FECES BAGS like you do not use a disaster to line the pockets of thieves, and pay off the liberal dicks you suck. Don Not WASTE, and Do not use suffering to play Democrat Sanny Claus. ASSHOLE…
3- YOU FUCKING Leftwing PERVERT!!!!
try not to dribble on your keyboard, i’d hate to see it short out, you are a hoot
You are a net loss for any society so STFU you rightwing piece of shit.
You and your attitude is partly responsible for this state being third world – go f$ck yourself!
You drooling rightwing mouth breeder.
Give this man a tax cut now!
There are jobs awaiting to be “created!”
Fuck yea dude. Liberals are scumbags.
Well then pay to fix your own problems up in Crapville and leave my income alone – idiot.
Why stop at federal government? No help from state or local government either! Let the free market fix it, that’s what the free market is good at after all! It can do better than any government institution!
Floodpocylpse!!!! God dang it…..
floodmageddon!

HILLARY HELL: DOWN 10 POINTS IN LESS THAN WEEK….LMAO.
Why should he wipe it off when we all know you love shit and want to lick it off?
Instead of linking to that crappy map that looks like crayon scrawlings, try this: http://info.scdot.org/sites/GIS/SitePages/StormKML.aspx
You need to have Google Earth installed on your computer, and when you double-click the KML file, it starts Google Earth with an overlay that has been updated daily. You can pan and zoom to the finest detail. If GT had google Earth, he could see his single-wide.
Why is it that you liberals jerk-off over a disaster.
Is it because you think it makes the fucking catastrophe Obama is, not look as bad?
Or: is it because if people are in misery, and it’s not because of the total Fuck-Up of the Democrat Party, it takes the pressure off you?
tbillys like you are hammering a steak into the heart of the gop, it is worth putting up with your gibberish to watch the gop twist in the wind, you do know we think you are funny don’t you?
To be clear, you have to download an updated KML file each day to see the current road closings.
Saw the VP carefully staged photo op of Haley giving out food at the harvest food bank….dont you all think this idiot should be conducting meetings to rebuild our states roads and working with FEMA and others to get the gotdamn water system working again. We do!
what do you think she has been doing you stupid ass hater?
