FORMER STATE SENATOR SENTENCED FOR ETHICS VIOLATIONS
|| By FITSNEWS || A former South Carolina Senator was sentenced to five years probation for using campaign funds on personal expenses.
Robert Ford – who resigned his office in 2013 as some of his more embarrassing expenses became public knowledge – also received 350 hours of community service and must pay nearly $70,000 to the state’s general fund.
Ford was sentenced by S.C. circuit court judge Robert Hood.
Hood could have sentenced Ford to fifteen years behind bars … which we think is ridiculous considering his corruption paled in comparison to the sort of shenanigans his white “Republican” colleagues habitually undertake.
Ford referred to the case against him as a “public lynching.” He also pointed out (correctly, we might add) that far more egregious offenses had been committed in office by S.C. Gov. Nikki Haley – yet her offenses which were whitewashed by her fellow “Republicans” in the S.C. House of Representatives in 2012.

On behalf of Will Folks, I would like to add that his Excellency the Honorable Judge Robert Hood did an superb job and deserves the highest praise. Your decision is the perfect balance of both divine and merciful judgment. If only Will Folks could be so lucky as to be subject to the will of your devine eminence.

Between Ford’s case and Harrell’s case, we are seeing first hand just how unbalanced SC judges really are. There are thousands of cases in SC whereas most state judges are in total contrast with one another. You could have the same argument before 10 judges with the same facts and exhibits, but get different outcomes and sentences – some even totally opposite of each other.
There seems to be a disturbance in the force. Momentum is rumored; appears to be building, perhaps, for a major push to have convicted former SC Speaker of the House Bobby Harrell’s probation revoked and his suspended sentence imposed. Hmmmmmm? Could it be the feds out of DC? Time will tell if the rumors are true or not, I suppose.
