SOCIAL SECURITY ERROR COSTING TAXPAYERS …

|| By FITSNEWS || When it comes to seeing dead people, the federal government lacks a “Sixth Sense.”  Or for that matter, a lick of common sense.

According to a recent audit of the Social Security Administration (SSA) conducted by the U.S. Inspector General’s office, there are an estimated 6.5 million people in the United States over the age of 112.

“We obtained … data that identified approximately 6.5 million numberholders born before June 16, 1901 who did not have a date of death on their record,” the report stated.

In fact several thousand of them had birth dates from before the Civil War.

Wait … what?  That can’t be right, can it?  Of course it wasn’t right.  It turns out there are less than three dozen people over the age of 112 in the whole world.

The government (as usual) didn’t know it’s ass from it’s elbow … nor did it apparently know that several thousand of the “undead” Social Security numbers were being used for fraudulent purposes.  Or that hundreds of the deceased were still receiving benefits.

Awesome!

Even liberal U.S. Senator Tom Carper said the rash of undead numbers seemed to him “a relatively simple problem that the government should pursue as a high priority.” The government didn’t agree, though, claiming a resolution to the problem “would create a significant manual and labor-intensive workload and provide no benefit to the administration of our programs.”

Ah yes …

Gotta love that work ethic!

But hey … it’s only a few billion dollars down the drain, right?  You know what they say, a billion here a billion there … oh wait, that expression has been updated, hasn’t it?

And guess who ALL 6.5 million voted for?

Rocky March 13, 2015 at 5:01 pm

They didn’t vote for anyone – you derp. They’re dead. Duh. Bet one of them is my great grandfathers brother – born around 1863 – died 1940. Probably had SS#, no one ever thought to update the records. There’s probably a ton of people like that dating back to the 1940s. So how many people have gotten SS#s (real ones)? Social Security numbers were first issued in November 1936. To date, 453.7 million different numbers have been issued.6.5 million divided by 453.7 is 1.4%, which is a much lower error rate than the Post Office, the average car company, GT’s typing, and, I believe, the rate for people who get zits.

… And I’ll bet someone votes on their behalf.

And it would not surprise me that someone is still cashing their checks.

And it should not surprise anyone that those ssa numbers have been used by illegals for ID.

… Right there in South Carolina. (Got an investigative journalist follow up? … before the next election?)

Don’t worry, GrandTango. It won’t cut into the assistance you currently get from the taxpayers.

The gears that allow GrandTurnip’s brain to function were set when he entered first grade. He came home from school and complained to his mother that the other kids laughed at his name and called him stupid. His mother bought him a wrist watch and explained how it worked. “When you look at it you see the time it is now, and when you push this little button you can see what time it was at this exact time yesterday.”

Which, incidentally, does remind me of this incident and the conversation went like this—

GrandTango visited his psychiatrist who greeted him with a pleasant smile. “You know, Mr. Tango, in this profession one rarely uses the word ‘cure’ but after four years of therapy it is my pleasure to pronounce you one hundred percent cured!” he announced proudly.

“What’s this? Why such an unhappy face?” asked the doctor. “This is a success for me and a triumph for you – I thought you’d be thrilled.”

“Oh, it’s fine for you,” was his snappy reply, “but look at it from my point of view. For four years I have been “THE GRANDTANGO”. Now – I’m a nobody!”

You’re so stupid, you are obsessed w/ me, and don’t even know what I say. I have to laugh. It’s remarkable how consumed you are. I bet you have 3 or 4 other personas following me around.

Do you think if you could somehow stop me from revealing you to be a complete idiot, it would validate you, and what you represent?

Clue: Until you develop some integrity, repent spiritually, and separate yourself from the corrupt politics and people of the left, you will be perpetually inferior.

And no one will EVER read what you write, if it’s dishonest and filled w/ flawed and weak thinking. The DNC gets away w/ it because they have Billions. On your level, people will actually means test what you spew. And that only makes you look simple-minded.

Where are you?….LMAO….right here w/ me…

PS: I’m working. Thanks for the comic relief, though…

You work on Friday night? Busing tables at Golden Corral?

GrandTango March 15, 2015 at 5:16 pm

I would bus tables at the GC, if it was all I could get. I’m not above it… I respect ALL people who have legitimate jobs…I don’t view some lower than others…

Once again, can’t answer a simple question. You just jump to your predictable rant of meaningless blather. If I’m consumed, you do realize you too would have to implicate yourself as being consumed?

You’ve been trying to reveal me as an idiot and only revealed yourself to be one. I’ve already called you out for aligning yourself with the tactics of the left and your hypocrisy in claiming Christ. You’ve never once refuted anything I’ve brought up. You’ve ignored and obfuscated every single time. You’re doing it now and you’ll continue doing it in the future. You can keep pretending like you hate liberals and you can keep baselessly proclaiming me to be one, but I’ve already exposed you. Repeating the same lies over and over to cover the truth is a typical liberal tactic. What is it like to be wrong?

here is one example of SC government actually being on the ball. After a state retiree turns 100 they get a letter every year that has to be signed and then notarized.

Ben, what’s this Social Security thing, ask Tom?

Tom, it’s a Ponzi Scheme, said Ben.

Who’s Ponzi, ask Tom?

You’ll have to ask Franklin in about a hundred years, said Ben.

One would assume that there would be a system in place to confirm the existence of the beneficiary every few years after the 79th year since that’s the average life expectancy in the United States.

Doesn’t everyone in the US receive a letter from the president on their 100th birthday?

That was discontinued after FDR

A guy went into a pet store and told the owner that he was lonely and that his friends suggested he get a pet. But he didn’t want one that took a lot time and money.

The owner suggested a parakeet which the guy accepted.

The next day the guy came back with the parakeet lying dead in its cage. “I don’t understand what happened to him. Was he sick when I bought him yesterday?”

“No, but let’s see if we can figure this out. When you found him dead last night did he have a yellow stool?”

“No, he didn’t have any furniture at all.”

Went on a short road trip earlier in the week

Stopped at a hole in the wall joint to get a coke and a pack of nabs

Knew I was in the right place when I noticed a sign nailed on the back of the hand crank cash register:

Don’t evern ask, NO damn Senior Citizens discounts. You have had twice as long to get the damn money to pay your tab

I’ve asked clerks, where the “nabs” are and get blank stares.
Ask a young female clerk if she has any “nabs” and she is likely to blush or be offended.
