Teenage pop icon Justin Bieber is in hot water after allegedly spitting in the face of one of his neighbors in the affluent Calabasas region of Los Angeles, California.
According to TMZ, the Los Angeles District Attorney’s office is contemplating battery charges against the 19-year-old singer in the wake of the incident – which occurred after the neighbor confronted Bieber for racing through their community at speeds of up to 100 miles per hour in his Ferrari. The neighbor also alleges Bieber threatened to kill him.
Bieber’s allies acknowledge the singer got into a “heated dispute” with the neighbor – but they say he never threatened him, or spit on him. Team Bieber also alleges the neighbor was trespassing on the singer’s property at the time the incident occurred.
This obviously isn’t the first time Bieber has been linked to a saliva-related allegation. Two months ago FITS was among the first media outlets to report on an alleged spitting incident in a Charlotte, N.C. hotel involving Bieber and a Charleston, S.C. woman named Collette Harrington.
Harrington claims she was working out in the gym at the Ritz Carlton in the Queen City when Bieber and a bodyguard began mocking and cursing her. She also claims the singer spit in her water bottle.
Reps for Bieber denied Harrington’s claims, saying her version of the story was “dead wrong.”
In a recent interview with US Weekly, Bieber acknowledged he wasn’t perfect and that he has “made mistakes.”
“The biggest misconception about me is that I’m a bad person,” Bieber told the magazine. “I get upset about that. I have a big heart. I want to be a good role model, but some people want me to fail.”
