TAKE NOTES, NIKKI HALEY …

There’s an Indian-American governor in the Deep South taking principled conservative positions … but it’s not South Carolina’s so-called “Tea Party darling” Nikki Haley.

She’s busy doing other things …

Anyway, a day after we reported on Haley’s lack of fortitude in defunding Planned Parenthood – the government subsidized abortion provider implicated in a gruesome fetal body parts scam – she’s getting taken to school once again by Louisiana governor Bobby Jindal.

In keeping with his opposition to the perpetual incentivizing of government dependency, Jindal is cracking down on able-bodied, childless food stamp recipients in his state.

Remember this issue?  We do.

Jindal allowed his state’s waiver on food stamps for roughly 62,000 recipients expire on October 1 – giving those dependents three months to find work.

“We believe the more people working in the state, the better for the state, the better for the individuals,” Jindal’s welfare director told WVUE TV 8 (Fox – New Orleans).

Indeed …

Will Haley follow suit?  Hell no.

Because Jindal is substance, and Haley is show.

I love it. Jindal goes after those terrible ‘moochers’ and ‘handouts’ to the poor and he’s a hero.
While his handouts to the rich have left his state in a terrible budget shortfall.
Gotta love these Tea Party idiots and their fans.

Didn’t he ask for the “waiver” in the first place. FIne, let it expire, should have never asked for a waiver. Only Red states asked for waivers – blue states didn’t need them.

Jindal is a joke and will never ever be president. He cut off funding to Planned Parenthood in Louisiana but they don’t perform abortions in Louisiana. So again poor people get screwd by conservatives. Hey Bobby isn’t there a tax cut for the rich you should be working on !!!!

In the broad stream of the America political spectrum, I don’t know of any theocrats or science haters. I do, however, find a lot of your particular brand of hyperbole.

Let us talk science. A fetus is defined scientifically as “an unborn offspring of a mammal, in particular an unborn human baby more than eight weeks after conception.”

To claim that a fetus is not a “human baby”, one must resort to metaphysics of which theology is a branch.

The Buzzman October 2, 2015 at 11:54 pm

High-minded but ultimately meaningless rhetoric.

Many candidates are richly rewarded, financially, for disputing science in national and state legislative bodies, theocrat or not. Once Big Tobacco footed the bill. Now it’s Big Oil.

No Boz isn’t. Many otherwise fine people share the same opinions as Boz. I even trust some with my life (a nurse).

God is All. I have no problem with God, God has no problem with me. I am, in fact, a Christian. Just not your particular brand. I don’t need government to validate my faith. I don’t need YOU to validate ANYTHING.

Bible Thumper October 3, 2015 at 12:29 am

theocracy. 1. a system of government in which God or a deity is held to be the civil ruler; thearchy. 2. a system of government by priests; hagiarchy. 3. a state under such a form of rule. — theocrat, n. — theocratic, adj.

Dealing with metaphysics to make an argument does not make one a theocrat. Claiming that it is God’s will that you lead a nation or serve it in a higher office certainly qualifies.

No it doesn’t. If a politician wanted to put his/her concept of God’s will above the Constitution, the democratic process, and eliminate elections or their efficacy, then he/she would be a theocrat.

I don’t know of any politician who has had any success after claiming that it was God’s will that they lead a nation. Christians are offended by such claims. Of course no Christian would run for office if they did not believe that is what God wanted them to do, but to claim any special pipeline to God’s will would be rejected by Chistians.

Theology has just as much of a right to be a part of any political dialog as any other branch of metaphysics.

“Once Big Tobacco footed the bill. Now it’s Big Oil.”
There is much more government money for “Climate Change” scientists than “Big Oil” has. They claim to be scientists, yet they use the methods of religious zealots against skeptics. Skepticism is one of the most important ways scientific progress is made. It even pushes opponents to be rigorous in their work and answer to legitimate challenges.

As Sam Vaknin, author of Malignant Self-Love, a bestselling study
of narcissism, says: “Narcissists gravitate towards professions where
they can control people and elicit adulation.

They are more likely to work in politics, finance or medicine than in shoe-making.

The disorder, formerly known as megalomania, affects 1% of the population
and up to 16% of the clinical population. In psychiatric terms, it is
classified as a cluster B (or dramatic) disorder, alongside
antisocial and histrionic disorders. (Cluster As, or odd disorders,
include paranoid and schizoid disorders; cluster Cs, or anxious
disorders, include dependent and obsessive-compulsive disorders.)

The disorder is not easily discernible to the untrained eye, partly
because a degree of self-love is essentially healthy: it protects us
from self-harm; it enables us to form support networks, to find a mate
and procreate.

NPD, however, is not simply a healthy self-regard gone astray.

Dr Jose Romero-Urcelay is a UK forensic psychiatrist and director of
therapies at the unit for dangerous and severe personality disorders
at Broadmoor Hospital, part of the West London Mental Health Trust.

He confirms Vaknin’s theory that pathological narcissists are drawn to
careers in finance, law and politics. He also treats many patients
with NPD.

“It is crucial,” he says, “to distinguish between
narcissistic traits, which may be advantageous – such as confidence, a
need to get to the top, the need for praise – and NPD. Those with
personality disorders are exploitative and are likely to cause others
distress.”

Typically, this takes the form of emotional abuse.
The narcissist’s insatiable quest for attention (what Vaknin was the
first to describe as “narcissistic supply”), leads him or her to seek
out a steady source of admiration. Where that is in short supply, the
narcissist prefers to inspire fear or hatred than suffer the nightmare
of being ignored. And, unable to empathize, the narcissist is
indifferent to the consequences of hurting people.

Isn’t Fitsnews’ superior attitude toward others and his ability to glorify and then later demonize often the same individual a classic symptom of Narcissistic Personality Disorder?

Is your attempt to discredit others you have never met in any clinical setting (and probably have no training or license) with a personality disorder and indication of Narcissism or an inferiority complex?

It was clear to some on the very first day he was appointed by Mike Foster to head the Department of Health and Hospitals that it was the beginning of a very long downhill slide and has not stopped since. Bobby thinks
“sound management practices” means fiddling with the volume control on the TV during a rerun of the Brady bunch. As Governor, his every action is for a price. He sold hundreds of jobs for millions of dollars. All of his appointments were political hacks given marching orders, who then gave their own marching orders to direct contracts to friends and family.
To head DHH, we needed a great medical school chancellor, or former Surgeons General, NIH chief, or noted epidemiologist with great administrative skills. Instead we got Bruce Greenstein, fresh from the payroll of CNSI, a wannabe contractor, made up of Bobby’s home boys to administer the Medicaid program, something they had never done before. They wanted it because it had a 200 million plus contract with it, along with multi-million dollar contract revisions to sweeten the pot. No matter that the states employees would loose their jobs, and the money would leave the state as it does in all of Bobby’s convoluted outsourcing. Anyone that could not see what was coming was blind, and deaf, and locked in a dark room. If there
is a God, he will be the one with his knee on the back of Bobby’s neck cuffing and hobbling him like the criminal he is.

Jindal is so unpopular in LA that he is LOSING to Hillary Clinton in his OWN state:

A new WWL-TV/Advocate poll in Louisiana finds Gov. Bobby Jindal trailing Hillary Clinton in a presidential match up in his home state by three points, 45% to 42%.

In contrast, Jeb Bush would crush Clinton by 18 points, 56% to 38%.
