As usual, I agree with Dr Paul. One more thing, how about let’s get education out of our wallets? Here in SC at least, schools and school boards think they have a right to a permanent place in our wallets, with ever expanding privileges to take as much as they want, whenever they want, for whatever reason they want. County taxes for decades, have been over-represented by fees for “education”. For many, this is crippling and disproportionate for what it delivers. This needs to stop.
School board races are a joke, with most candidates giving us a cliche’, mealy-mothed synopsis of how they will “fight for the educators and for the children”, but never much about the poor tax payers who are on the hook for their starry-eyed, grandiose, ideas.
