THIS IS WHY IT DOESN’T MATTER IF THE GOP WINS THE SENATE …

By FITSNEWS  ||  Back in June, “GOP Leader” Eric Cantor got beat in his primary election for the U.S. House of Representatives – a stunning defeat that sent shock waves through the nation’s capital.

Here at FITS (where contempt for the “Republican” and Democratic establishments runs wild) it was a cause for much rejoicing …

But if anyone was worried about the majority leader landing on his feet, they shouldn’t have been.  It appears the more you sell out while you’re in office – the bigger the payout is once you leave office.

To wit: As of this week, Cantor is the new managing director and vice chairman of Wall Street bank Moelis & Co. – where he will pull down a whopping $3.4 million over the next fifteen months.

Wow … that’s some serious coin people.  And before you say “well that’s what the market will bear” remember he was one of the guys artificially inflating that market … with your money and the money of your kids and grandkids.

But it’s not Cantor’s outrageous salary that’s worth taking note of … it’s some of the comments his former underlings offered up in its defense.

“Some will bemoan, ‘Oh, Eric cashed in, and this is all about him chasing money,’” Cantor’s former senior policy adviser, a partner at a D.C. lobbying firm, told Bloomberg. “Smarter people get that’s not actually true. There have to be respectable men and women who run, quite frankly, the system.”

Wow …

But wait … there’s more …

“He’s going to be guiding people on how the world works,” Cantor’s former communications director told the wire service. “The understanding of complex systems, of people, and what their needs are and how everybody can benefit — it’s those things that make him special.”

And there you have it …

The world is simply too complex for peons like us … “special” people like Eric Cantor are needed to “run the system.”

“In a few short words, (they) summed up just what the Washington elite really think about how the world works,” the website Zero Hedge opined.

Cantor was vilified from the left and the right.  Bill Clinton’s labor secretary Robert Reich said Cantor’s hiring epitomized the “entrenched culture of mutual behind-kissing,” while Ronald Reagan’s former budget director said Cantor was a “bag man for Wall Street” during his tenure in the U.S. House.

Don’t they have wage control in China? The government gets paid, and nobody else. And I’m sure Obama and Sanford will get their cut out of this man’s gig….

And here I thought Liberal-Tarians were all for the freedom to earn as much as you can find someone to pay you. I guess you are un-American like that.

PS: You never whined about all of the set-asides – worth millions- Obama got, before he became destroyer-in-chief…I guess that kind of kick-back is OK w/ you, because you approve of the Socialist getting rich off the taxpayer’s dime. Convenient incredulity would’t you say?

I support a free market system. Liberal Democrats spend billions jetting around the world on the taxpayer’s dime (see Obama)…and Obama’s never really had a profit job, except at an ice cream stand, where he admitted giving away the owner’s product. He prolly bankrupted the store that hired him, like he bankrupted America.

Eric Cantor never pretended to be an ideological purist. He’ll make $3.4 million working on Wall Street.

YOU always pretended to be an ideological purist. I’m guessing you made maybe $5k for selling out to T-Rav?

“Eric Cantor never pretended to be an ideological purist”
The only thing he seemed to be good at was standing in the background with a smirk on his face while John Boehner grumbled and/or cried through a news conference. Maybe he’ll make $3.4 million smirking on Wall Street.

ALERT!!!!! ALERT!!!!!
Operation “Rolling Thunder” on I-85 (roughly between exits 75 & 55 – north & south) is in full effect to include all overpasses, bridges, side of the highway and median.
UH-1 Huey trolling in the morning and another copter taking over right now!!!
Avoid I-85 in Spartanburg County for the next few days unless you want to contribute to the “Bucks for the Fuzz” charity event hosted by TEA party darling Sheriff “Chuckie” Wright – Spartanburg County
Cops (local, state & county) as far as Lee county are in a feeding frenzy for the next few days as they get a cut of every ticketed stop or confiscated goods that they can get their hands on

Um, yeah, exactly what “Libertarian” principle is the statement “…But it’s not Cantor’s outrageous salary that’s worth taking note of…” espousing?

Cantor will run the system? lol!

Careful Cantor, the puppetmasters don’t like hearing their puppets talking about how they’ll work the strings instead.

There are complex system in the world that we need smart people to understand and help us react to. But Cantor?
They SYSTEM he’s going to manage is secretive, but it is not complex. Good Ol’ Boy network of the rich and powerful. Lot of Republicans. Some Democrats. All with self-interest as the core value.

Speaking of republicrats and governors’ races …

Hot tip from my brother in Colorado. The republicrat rino there just announced that he is going to try to repeal the legalization of pot there …

This means that in the next two weeks, that republicrat will be dropping in the polls dramatically … Legal pot being wildly popular in Colorado.

The clown just could not keep from stepping on his own middle leg.

My advise: find your bookie, bet on the bartender turned democrat for governor in Colorado.
