I was excited for the games of the XXXIII Olympiad. Not just as a patriotic American, but as someone who loves it when people find something to unite behind – something that’s bigger than any country or any culture.
I think our country – and our culture – desperately need such unifying moments.
Sports has long been a uniting force … compelling us to set aside what divides us and focus on the thrill of competition. But not anymore. These days, sports has become little more than just another vehicle for indoctrination.
In 2020, the National Football League (NFL) embarked on what I referred to then as an “ill-advised, one-sided immersion into America’s culture wars,” ignorantly injecting itself into a misplaced debate over “social justice.”
Major League Baseball (MLB) – America’s pastime – subsequently bent the knee to our nation’s woke orthodoxy in 2021.
And the NCAA? In 2022, this über-woke association actually allowed a biological male to claim the women’s 500-meter freestyle championship as a female – initiating an assault on women’s rights it continues to press via the bastardization of Title IX.
But the Olympics? The erstwhile global “gold standard” for competition – the organization that was supposed to have been above it all – it decided to take the one moment which has defined international unity for centuries and instead turn it into definitional division. And desecration.

Last weekend, organizers of the 2024 Paris games effectively told all the envelope-pushing, woke indoctrinators who preceded them to “hold their Bud Light.”
It’s not just that the opening ceremonies to the 2024 games gratuitously paraded drag queen culture on the international stage – overtly sexualizing what should have been a solemn ceremony for all ages. That’s nothing new, sadly. This time, though, event organizers decided to slap anyone professing to be a Christian square in the face in the process.
During the ceremony, a dozen drag queens reenacted Leonardo da Vinci‘s The Last Supper – a depiction of Jesus Christ and his disciples sharing a final meal prior to his crucifixion. Among the trans-sex-charged scenes included in the “ceremony” was a bearded drag queen grinding on a catwalk straddling the Seine river and a man with his testicles literally hanging out in the open.
The Associated Press – the most influential media outlet in the world – hailed this blasphemous depravity as “an unprecedented display of inclusivity” – one which showcased “the vibrant and influential role of the French LGBTQ+ community.”
Chicago’s NBC affiliate similarly gushed “inclusivity took center stage at the Paris Olympics Opening Ceremony as the lights beamed, flags of Olympic teams were carried over the Seine River and drag queens captivated the world.”
The artist responsible for the mess – Thomas Jolly – insisted his spectacle was not a depiction of da Vinci’s famous work, nor for that matter an attempt to mock anyone’s religion.

“The idea was to have a pagan celebration connected to the gods of Olympus,” Jolly told BFMTV. “You will never find in me a desire to mock and denigrate anyone.”
“Clearly, there was never an intention to show disrespect to a religious group,” Paris 2024 spokeswoman Anne Descamps said. “If people have taken any offense, we are, of course, really sorry.”
Right …
It wasn’t just right-wingers in the United States who were up in arms over the ceremony, though.
“I didn’t appreciate the mockery of the Christian Last Supper, the final meal of Christ and his disciples, which is foundational to Sunday worship,” far left French politician Jean-Luc Mélenchon noted. “What’s the point of risking offending believers? Even when one is anticlerical! We were speaking to the world that evening. Among the billion Christians in the world, how many good and honest people are there for whom faith provides help in living and knowing how to participate in everyone’s life, without bothering anyone?”
Even those in the LGBT community rebuked the theatrics.
“Dear fellow gays … we demand tolerance and respect but then make a mockery of something sacred for over two billion Christians,” fitness guru Jillian Michaels wrote on X. “This type of hypocrisy and lack of understanding is a bad look. We get outraged when the extreme right bashes us, but then we do this shit. What kind of reaction do you think they will have towards the LGBTQ+ community after this. This is NOT how we break down barriers it’s how you build them.”

“It’s clear that major national and international games have changed dramatically in the past decade,” our friends at Zero Hedge noted. “The spectacle is no longer meant to entertain, but to propagandize. And, just as we have seen with woke theatrical entertainment and the collapse of the movie box office in recent years, audiences are dwindling for sporting events with political messaging.”
Actually, the Olympic audience was already dwindling. According to Gallup, American viewership for the 2024 games “is poised to be the smallest for any prior Summer Olympics Gallup has measured.” Only 35 percent of American adults planned on watching “a great deal” (10 percent) or a “fair amount” (25 percent) of the games – down from nearly 60 percent between 2000 and 2012.
Conversely, 30 percent of American adults said they would not watch “any” of the games, which according to Gallup is “more than double the 2000 to 2012 readings, which ranged from 12 percent to 14 percent.”
Hard to imagine those numbers improving after the theatrics on the Seine …

Jesus told his followers about a half dozen times in the Gospels that “the world will hate you”- because it hated him first. So I’m not greatly surprise about this disgusting display. Also for those of you who were shrugging your shoulders and dodging hard conversations 30 years ago, when the push for the perversion alphabet to go mainstream started, I hope you see what a lie it was that all they wanted to do was live their lives in peace. The leaders of the perversion alphabet have always had a goal to push this down the throats of everyone, and ultimately get access to children to groom and molest….pedophiles are now being re-branded as “minor attracted people”…and granting kids the right to transition without parental consent and no consequences to the adults who push them down that hole is only going to lead to the laws being changed to grant minors the legal right to have sex with adults and the parents can’t do a thing about it. It’s coming, unless the people finally stand up to this movement.
The only two things with which I disagree with you on are: (1) the idea that the LGBTQ agenda is anti-capitalist; and (2) that the American right wing agenda is Christian.
In fact, the LGBTQ movement flourishes because it found ways to make money and to help select people make money off it.
And, in another fact, Jesus Christ, who ALSO said “I was a stranger and you did not shelter me. Hence from me you doers of inequities.” would be equally offended by the push for “mass deportations” as by a recent North Carolina federal judge’s order for a habitual convicted felon to receive a “vulvoplasty” at prison expense before his/her scheduled release date in few months.
That judge REALLY wrote that a jury COULD find the sex change luxury package complete with breast enhancement and permanent facial depilation “medically necessary.” Necessary for what? There is supposed to be no sex in prisons of any kind.
My suspicion is that same judge, who really does not care about prisoners’ rights, plans to work for the organization which brought that lawsuit on behalf of that prisoner or has relatives or friends who do or who want to.
That is the real driver of federal decisions now: the financial interests of judges, their relatives, their friends, and the relatives’ friends.

I expect better from you and this outlet. It had NOTHING TO DO with the Last Supper, and this has been confirmed many times over by now. If you take the explanation given for what it actually was and watch it, you can clearly see that this is the case.
It is natural to see things through our own cultural lenses – but when something doesn’t make sense we need to explore it further, as is the case here. To make this about the Last Supper is a huge stretch – but I can see how absent knowledge of what it was really based upon one could come to that conclusion. However, it’s time to admit that conclusion was wrong and move along.
