S.C. Sen. Lee Bright has picked up a national Tea Party endorsement in his bid for the U.S. Senate seat held by liberal “Republican” Lindsey Graham.

According to blogger Joshua Cook, Bright has received the support of the Republican Liberty Caucus (RLC) – which describes itself as a “grassroots membership organization dedicated to working within the Republican Party to advance the principles of individual rights, limited government and free markets.”

Cook says the group’s endorsement of Bright will “be announced in a series of press conferences across South Carolina on Wednesday.” In fact the RLC has already posted social media invitations for events in Columbia, Charleston and Greenville, S.C.

Bright is one of three announced challengers to Graham. The others are Lowcountry businesswoman Nancy Mace and Upstate social conservative Richard Cash, a businessman and former U.S. congressional candidate.

Shortly after the endorsement, the ghost of Don Corleone kissed him on the cheeks…

The constant and steady message from the DEMS is that the Tea Party has broken the GOP yet is too weak to win the votes. This is a curse – one that Bright so richly deserves.

Chili Cheeseburger A Plenty at the Beacon on Monday (RIP, JC), Wade’s Restaurant on Tuesday, Ike’s Grill on Wednesday, Carolina BBQ on Thursday, and Lake Bowen Fish Camp on Friday. In-law’s on Saturday and his Mama’s for lunch on Sunday.

It’s hard to keep a trim body when you’re mooching off someone else all the time.

US Senator Lee Bright (R-SC) would prove every talking head wrong on the current crisis– just when we think we’ve hit rock bottom, South Carolina comes in with dynamite to blow through that shit.

I might vote for the guy just out of spite towards the joke which is the current culture we have in Washington.

Wonder if these libertarians realize Lee Not So Bright actually blamed NAFTA for his business failings. Thought libertarians liked free trade? Guess not! Have people figured out this guy still hasn’t filed his personal financial disclosure? HAHA

Free trade, yes. “Free trade agreements” governed by hundreds of pages and government boards, commissions, and regulators… no.

So they didn’t endorse Nancy. CUE Will Folks finally admitting that many of the leading Tea Party groups in SC are run by corrupt authoritarians and religious nutjob assholes, and their national leaders may be even worse.

Nancy should run as a conservative independent. She may have a better chance of winning. The Tea Party is on its way out as well as the GOP. The latest gallup polls show only 28 percent of Americans favor the GOP. This weekend, flanked by Cruz, Lee and Palin, they were running around the White House waving Confederate flags. And they call themselves patriots? Any US Senator that would associate himself with such rabble needs to be removed from office.

This endorsement from RLC is not a Tea Party Endorsement. It is an endorsement from the RLC.
