We rarely watch late night television but Jimmy Kimmel’s show has a must-see segment from earlier this week …

Kimmel dispatched an interviewer to ask ordinary Americans whether they prefer Obamacare or the Affordable Care Act. As most of our readers know, Obamacare is the Affordable Care Act – or more precisely the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA).

But Kimmel’s crew had no trouble finding plenty of people who were unaware of that distinction …

For example one white dude stated he opposed Obamacare because it was “un-American” – but then said he supported the Affordable Care Act because it enabled “people to make their own choices.”

Meanwhile a black Obamacare supporter said he opposed the Affordable Care Act because it was “not really available for all.”

Here’s the clip …

Yeah …

Meanwhile the next generation of American voters remains convinced that the partial government shutdown has legalized marijuana.

What a country!

Anyway props to Kimmel for exposing the extent to which four decades of ever-expanding federal intervention in the education marketplace has dumbed down the American electorate. We can’t wait to see how more intervention in the health care marketplace works out!

Every government bureaucrat watching this video says to himself, “This is why they need me.”, and this is why things will never get better through democracy.

You’re right! We need a vicious warlord incontrol who immediately kill anyone who dissents. Decapitate the infidels on a nationally all-channel televised event; then impale their heads on display poles in front of the capitol. Don’t like it? Then die.
Democracy..pffft. Who needs it.

Who know’s what we need, maybe you?

I know that after generating a debt that will never be paid off and waging two undeclared wars with daily drone strikes in Pakistan, our leadership is no different from this “vicious warlord” you refer to, and they’ve been democratically elected for the most part.

I’d go for just about anything now, as we know that our version of democracy is pretty brutal and close to complete failure.

Sixty+ percent of Americans support the Affordable Care Act. Approximately 51% of Americans oppose Obamacare. The GOP has been promising to repeal and replace, but never have been able to say what they would replace Obamacare with. So here is the out for the GOP. Pass a joint resolution repealing Obamacare and Passing the Affordable Care Act. The Senate and Obama will sign and 60+% of the country will be happy.

The confusion between Obamacare and the PPACA is due less from the failures of our educational system than from the well-funded propaganda organs like Fox “News”, The Club for Growth and various stooges for the Koch brothers.

I’m not forgetting the insane Tea Party Caucus in Congress, either.

Exactly! Why would Fits circle around to that “federal intervention into the education marketplace” bullshit?

They called it the Patient Protection & Affordable Care Act to make it simple to sway the chronically uninformed. Sounds good, doesn’t it? Like candy to a baby.
However, the nanny-state takeover of our well-being and our privacy is more commonly known as “Obamacare.”

I just checked the Obamacare rates against my current rates in my business for my employees; they match exactly after a substantial increase last year after Obamacare’s announcement at what seems to be an almost identical policy. You can’t apply online of course, only by paper. The rates are posted in a database format.

It’s all a big scam. You can see the health insurance companies got to the government and are price fixing.

I went to the page to check them against individual policies and after clicking through to the appropriate section it says “We are having a lot of visitors on the site right now.”

“Please stay on the page.”

LMAO! It’s been up on a window for an hour now.

Government efficiency at its finest.
