In the glorious tradition of “Ain’t Nobody Got Time For That” and “Hide Yo Kids, Hide Yo Wife,” Dobyne’s dramatic retelling of how she learned of a fire at her Casa Linda apartment complex on Sunday morning has gone viral – generating millions of internet views.

Well, not one to kiss and tell, but we got our oldest a car for Christmas. Nice safe little VW. Give her $60 and she’ll take her sister out and about for three or four hours – and that’s perfect. Just perfect. We can stay at home and – watch TV, or practice Spanish, or …………….

I don’t watch WIS-TV these days. Used to be my go to station for what is happening around Columbia and in the state government.
In my family, at least since the 1950’s, WIS was our news station. For the last few years, the quality of their articles and “reporting” is shameful. How do these people get Journalism degrees? Articles leave so many loose ends that a true journalist would cover. “A murder occurred today on Invisible Street in Columbia.” Of course, most never heard of Invisible Street so would it kill them to identify specifically what part of town it is in? Apparently, their “journalists” believe so.
Another favorite of mine: “A bad wreck involving multiple vehicles occurred today on Two Notch Rd. Several injuries and possible fatalities are believed to have resulted.” Of course, they can’t be troubled to tell you what part of Two Notch this happened on. Richland Two Notch or Lexington Two Notch? Block number and/or nearby businesses or other landmarks, or preferably both? It obviously is too much trouble for them to bother with.
