Whether on the campaign trail or simply reading my e-mail, I receive many questions about where I stand on the different issues facing our nation. While I have a page dedicated to many of these issues on my website nancymace.org, I also wanted to take the time today to share with you where I stand on some key issues, and where I differ from my opponent, Senator Lindsey Graham.

With less than seven weeks left, I am asking you to share this e-mail with seven likeminded conservatives, as I am counting on you to help spread our message.

We must stop the NSA spying program now:

While I appreciate the challenges of keeping America safe in a post 9/11 world, I simply value the Forth Amendment rights we hold as Americans too much to forfeit our privacy and freedom to the federal government. Unlike Senator Graham, I do NOT trust this government, or any other government, to be responsible with vast amounts of private information of US citizens.

We cannot raise taxes on American families and businesses:

While many people object to Graham’s less than conservative voting record, it seems Graham’s poor record on taxes and spending gets lost in the debate. I believe Senator Graham’s vote to increase taxes by over $600 billion and his numerous votes for added spending on things like the Wall Street bailout are among his worst as a member of Congress. The people of South Carolina work hard for their money and know better how to spend it than the career politicians and corporate welfare crowd in Washington, DC.

As South Carolina’s next US Senator, I will NOT raise taxes. Period.

The US should concentrate on building up our own country rather than spending money on foreign aid:

Too many politicians and bureaucrats have allowed other priorities to creep into our country’s foreign policy decisions. I believe it is wasteful and shameful that we often give money to country’s that hate our values and burn our flag. America should be focused on what is good for America, not playing geopolitical games to satisfy special interests. As our next US Senator, I will work to ensure no American taxpayers are funding nations that chant, “Death to America.”

I will fight to protect EVERY life with EVERY vote I cast:

While Lindsey Graham likes to talk as if he’s a pro-life conservative, the sad truth is Graham cast two votes that were devastating to the unborn. Senator Graham voted to confirm both Justice Sotomayor and Justice Kagan. Those votes for two pro-choice Supreme Court justices reflect a disconnect with Senator Graham and those of us who see life as a non-negotiable from conception to natural death. As our next US Senator, I will always vote to protect life.

These are just a few topics I believe are important in this race, and a few issues where I believe our current senator is simply wrong. Please forward this e-mail to seven likeminded conservatives today! We must reach as many people as possible over the final seven weeks of this campaign.

As always, if you agree with our campaign and our message, please consider chipping in $50, $100, $250, $1,00 or even the maximum $2,600.

I cannot thank you enough for your support!

In Liberty,

mace sig

Nancy Mace

US Senate candidate Mace gets it.

Graham is obviously having moral compass problems in navigating around D.C. He rose in stature on Clinton’s impeachment, took over Sen Thurmond’s seat, and then sold out South Carolina by selling his votes to special interests.

“I will fight to protect EVERY life with EVERY vote I cast”

too bad she could apparently not be troubled to vote in the last election-

“Mace moved to Georgia in 2002 and moved back to South Carolina toward the end of 2011, registering to vote in the state after the 2012 election season. That year she did not cast a ballot in either state.”

Selling votes to special interests? Isn’t that a requirement to be in the Republican Party?

Just another teabagger who wants to shrink government so small it can fit inside a uterus.

“Just another teabagger who wants to shrink government so small it can fit inside a uterus.” WOW. If someone ever figures out how to do that I might change my mind on abortion. LOL

Did you write that for her? Because we know she didn’t. She has been absent this whole campaign. She is nothing but an empty suit.

I like Nancy and will vote for her in the primary, but as with so many other Republican politicians, I do wish she’d quit kowtowing to the pro-life (anti-choice) religious nuts. It is really a turnoff.

CIC. You disappoint me. Bill Connor is the ONLY real candidate in this race. The three legs of the conservative stool, social : Bill is a born again Christian, pro life, Fiscal: Start cutting government spending whole agencies at the time – Dept. of Education, Energy, EPA, just to name a few. Defense: There is going to be a world super power. Would you rather it be the USA of maybe China or Russia ?This is where I part ways with the Ron Paul wing. We have to maintain the most powerful military in the world or we risk what is happening with Obummer and Putin. Pease through strength is the only viable answer, the rest reveal weakness. RESTORE HONOR VOTE CONNOR.

Hi Rogue! For whatever reason, I generally find Nancy’s message to be a little more to my liking than the other candidates, but I tell you what. If Bill Connor, or ANY other candidate than Lindsey wins, I will be completely happy about it. It is all good so long as we get rid of this war-mongering, left-leaning, American citizen and taxpayer-hating, piece of shit who has occupied OUR Senate office for far too long.

While we don’t want to be weak, I really feel that America has been sold a bill of goods by its war machine for far too long, also. This is in no way a disparagement of the good, brave, men and women who have sacrificed so much for what they truly believed to be the best interests of their country, but of the system which seemingly has become more about revenue generation for special interests than about being necessary for protection of this country.

The founding fathers were rightly fearful of standing armies. If they are too big, and have too great a budget, they will eventually feel the need to be used, whether such use is necessary or not. IF they cannot find a suitable venue for using the men, equipment, and technology in other places around the globe, the temptation may be to use them here at home. That is not good. Even abroad, use of these things where not absolutely necessary can and does generate a lot of ill will for our country and increases the “need” for more of the same. Of course, this is what people like Lindsey and McCain bank on for their MIC buddies and benefactors. It is a win-win situation for them.

It is similar to the current trend of militarizing local police departments and many Federal agencies around the nation. They have all this firepower, technology, neat toys (such as MRAPS), training, and such. They cannot stand to just let all of that stuff lie fallow. The temptation to use it on something (anything) becomes too great. Before long, you have SWAT teams kicking in doors and terrorizing people in their homes over stuff like unpaid student loans (US Dept of Education SWAT), people offering raw milk for sale or to give away, or just the heinous and dangerous crime of possessing a bag of a naturally occurring, plant substance that they powers-that-be declared illegal for reasons that to this day are not all that clear.

Such is not conducive to freedom. Freedom suffers when you might have to fear those who are charged with protecting you more than you fear those they are supposed to be protecting you from.

Everything you said is true. Whichever candidate is in the runoff gets my support. You can bet Grahamnasty will try every dirty, underhanded trick in the book. He is supposed to be at at least one debate but hasn’t shown up at any so far. “Scheduling conflicts” yeah right. We will continue to give it our best shot till the last vote is counted. The goal , getting rid of a POS senator and replacing him with a REAL Republican makes it all worthwhile. RESTORE HONOR VOTE CONNOR.
