Except for one dear friend who is in the United States now (having escaped the war), I doubt anyone reading these words has a more vested interest in the lives of Ukrainians than I do. I’ve been there three times to serve the poorest of their poor – and have never met a lovelier people. Needless to say, I’m no fan of Vladimir Putin.
That said, allow me to offer an opinion on what’s going on:
As the world saw, Ukraine’s president came to the White House to discuss ongoing aid for their war with Russia. His job was to say, “America, you are awesome; I owe our survival as a nation to you; Please allow me to kiss your ass.”
Sadly, Volodymyr Zelenskyy insulted our president and vice president, and many interpreters now believe he muttered the Ukrainian word for “bitch” while the veep was speaking.
What Donald Trump was attempting to communicate was, “I’m going to broker a peace treaty, and you’ll need to comply with it. I’m not sure what the deal will look like, but we both know you cannot survive without America’s money and weapons.”

What was left unsaid was, “Putin is the other power broker, and I’m going to have to work with him. His nation has nukes, and you’ve got jack-doo-doo. If a peace deal means he gets to keep some of the lands he took, so be it. I’ll do my best.”
Zelenskyy proceeded to tell Trump there would be no peace unless he approved of it, indicating the war would continue until Ukraine recaptured the land it lost. Then he really screwed the pooch by insinuating to Trump that the only reason Russia hadn’t attacked America was because we have “a nice ocean,” but we would “feel” the pain of Russia’s aggression soon enough.
There are a few things that need to be noted at this point:
First, the war has now descended into WWI type trench warfare, and will go on forever without a truce and peace deal.

Second, Zelenskyy cannot allow peace. If peace comes there will be elections again, and he very well might lose… although at this point it’s impossible to know what Ukrainians think about the war. How come? Because in a stroke of dictatorial brilliance, he used martial law as an excuse the take over all of the nations TV channels, and forced them all to broadcast the same thing.
He claimed this was to ensure accurate information… and of course any criticism of him is “inaccurate.” If peace comes, those TV stations will begin broadcasting again, and only then will we know what the voters think.
Third, if Zelenskyy loses, the Ukrainian president who follows him will likely launch investigations into his administration, and may just find tens of millions of dollars Zelenskyy personally stole – and hundreds of millions of dollars he laundered for others.
If some reports are correct, they will also likely find hundreds of millions of dollars in US weaponry that Ukraine re-sold on the black market.
The fallout will see either Zelenskyy in prison, or fleeing to live in exile.

TRUMP’S CALCULUS

There are also several things Trump must consider as he attempts to extricate American taxpayers from the front lines of a new Cold War in Eastern Europe.
Among them:
- The West promised Gorbachev that NATO wouldn’t expand “one inch eastward.” Yet NATO subsequently moved into Poland and the Baltic States, largely surrounding him.
- Because of this, many experts agree that Putin invaded Ukraine because he felt that if he did not, NATO would expand into Ukraine and stick him with a NATO nation literally on his border.
- Despite the fact Putin is a psychopath, he isn’t stupid. He called the fall of the USSR to be one of the “great tragedies” of the 20th century, and insisted that the Russian people were disrespected by the West. (They were, and deservedly so).
- Being a politician, he came to power on a promise to restore Russia to its “former glory,” whatever that was. Call Russians what you want, but they are a proud, defensive, and martial culture.
- While there was no way Putin could restore Russia to its place as a global superpower, he could at least demonstrate his strength to his citizens by defying NATO expansion and invading Ukraine… and obviously did so.
- Despite Russia’s second-rate status in the world, Putin still maintains enough nuclear weapons to destroy the world… including one hyper-sonic variety called Satan II, which could level an area the size of France.

MOVING ON…
In the wake of Zelenskyy’s narcissistic behavior, and subsequent removal from the White House, a truly hilarious event occurred: Britain declared it would stop at nothing to support Ukraine, including boots on the ground. Britain hasn’t had boots on the ground anywhere in any meaningful capacity since WWII.
Next, the West called for a re-arming of Europe to the tune of $100 billion, for conventional forces. This is ridiculous, because Europe is filled with effete men who’ll never volunteer, and every nation is broke. I’m sure Putin is shivering his timbers.
The other thing that makes this hilarious is that this “re-arming” is intended to check the aggression of Russia. What are they thinking? That Russians will drive into Europe in their Lada cars and throw nesting dolls at them? Russia can’t even defeat freaking Ukraine. The U.S. Marine Corps alone could’ve attacked Ukraine and been in Kiev in a week.
The reality of the situation is that this war is a proxy war between the United States and Russia. Yes, hundreds of thousands of brave Ukrainians have died defending their motherland, but their sacrifice has been nothing more than serving as bullet sponges.
They died in service of NATO, and NATO’s desire to weaken Russia.

AMERICA’S MILITARY-INDUSTRIAL COMPLEX

The back-and-forth about the evils of America’s military-industrial complex has reached the point where raising the alarm about it no longer has any real impact.
Is it real?
Absolutely — so real, in fact, Americans have grown immune to its reality. Since the Gulf of Tonkin lie that started the war in Vietnam, our nation has been engaged in conflict. During times of supposed peace, rest assured there were wars going on all over the world, orchestrated by the CIA, each one pouring billions into the pockets of American arms manufacturers.
I think the reason so many people ignore the military-industrial complex is because the average American cannot conceive of men so demonically evil that they’d cause the deaths of millions of people for profits. A crackhead killing a homeowner for some drug money, sure… but educated, white-collar men? Until recently, I for one had a hard time believing it.
However, four years under Biden exposed the widespread evil shared by so many: eight month abortions of viable babies, schools secretly sterilizing confused children without parental consent, drag queens grooming children and violent criminals (many of them illegal aliens) released without bail.
Incredibly, 45% of Americans support these sick ideas. If that’s the case, I have zero doubt there are several thousand men happy to orchestrate the deaths of millions for the sake of money.

WHAT HAPPENS NEXT
President Trump is an actual leader, so he will put up with the America’s liberals and the European hollow men shrieking that he’s in Putin’s pocket, and broker a peace deal. There is, of course, no deal he can make that will satisfy those with Trump Derangement Syndrome. The only people who’ll be excited about the peace deal will be Russian and Ukrainian soldiers, and their families.
There will be no “Ukrainian protection package” from the U.S. should Putin break the terms of the treaty — but maybe those brave Europeans will offer that guarantee? Or all resolve to change their Facebook profile pictures to the Ukrainian flag if Russia invades?
The peace deal with Putin will hold, because President Trump will be the one who laid out the terms. He is the only world leader that Putin has ever respected, and no doubt fears.
Because Putin will feel respected, relations will improve between the United States and Russia. It’s possible those improvements may cause Russia to loosen ties with China, as they can offer nothing close to what Putin will enjoy if America lightens up on him.
America’s war in Ukraine is effectively over, because Trump says it is. Putin knows if that he fails to agree to a deal, Trump can provide unlimited funds and weapons to Ukraine.
Obviously Russia’s ability to press a land war in any direction is zero, so the only way to actually fight back against unlimited U.S. support of Ukraine would require them to exercise the nuclear option. Putin knows this. Trump knows this. Neither wants this.
I predict there will be peace within four months.

I call bullshit on your analysis of what happened in Zelensky’s meeting with Trump and Vance. That was an ambush, designed to make Zelensky look bad for the benefit of Russia. Why do you think Russian media was invited? Why do you think the Russian press was laughing and celebrating after that meeting? But they failed, the only people who looked like assholes in the room were Trump and Vance.
All wars end one way or another, and this war will end one way or another. One way is Russia loses and the Putin regime likely collapses. That is close, I believe. That is why Putin is desperate for a deal. The other is Ukraine loses and becomes part of Russia. Putin is not willing now or ever to give up on the conquest of Ukraine. He wants their natural resources, their food production capability, their ports, and their people to conscript into his dysfunctional and decimated army, so he can continue his fight to re-establish the Soviet Empire. Any cease fire he is willing to agree to is solely so that he can rebuild his army, salvage his economy and restore his military equipment before he attacks Ukraine again. Only a fool does not know that. If Putin stops fighting the war ends if Ukraine stops fighting Ukraine ends. If we reward Putin by giving him the property he has stolen from Ukraine and a couple of years to rebuild, he will come back to finish the job; and we all know Trump will do nothing about it.
It is unquestionably in Americas best interest for Russia to lose this war. In fact if we had played our cards right this war could save our country billions of dollars while we do the right thing. We spend 800 billion+ dollars a year on defense. We spend that to protect ourselves from the Russians and the Chinese. Those are the only other nations capable of attacking us. With a small fraction of our annual budget, Ukraine has destroy the Russian army as a fighting force, and depleted Russia’s supply of tanks, missals, artillery, and military equipment to the extent they are arming their soldiers with WWI rifles and carrying supplies to their troops on the backs of donkeys. In addition their economy is in freefall so they cannot afford to replace all the equipment that has been destroyed. All this while the NATO alliance became more powerful than ever.
Not only has the non-nuclear capability of Russia been destroyed, with the collapse of its government we will deny the Chinese a valuable ally and supplier of energy for its war machine and food for its people. Only a idiot cannot see that we are on the very brink of delivering significant damage to our two geopolitical enemies. Russia is desperate for breathing room.
So now to your BS Russian propaganda that Zelensky is a dictator afraid of elections. Zelensky has broad support in Ukraine. His already high approval numbers are up by 10% since he was ambushed Trump and Vance. His people know him. They know he offered to resign if NATO would admit Ukraine and offer it NATO protection. Unlike our President, Zelensky is a patriot. When his capitol was attacked it defended it. His people know where he stands and know he will never run and leave them the way President bone spurs did for his country. Trump would shit in this pants, again, and Vance would go hide in the closet with his couch, if they had to spend one day running from Russian assassins and dodging Russian missiles. Russia has been trying to kill Zelensky for two years and that is not because his people hate him, its because they are willing to fight for him.
Zelensky and the people of Ukraine have thanked the American people over and over again for standing with them after they were attacked by a brutal war criminal. A man who bombs hospitals, bombs civilian air raid shelters, and murders parents in front of their children before dragging their children off to re-education camps. Anyone who stands with Putin is either an immoral gutless coward or corrupt. But Ukraine owes Trump no thanks. NATO has the ability to hand Ukraine a victory in this war. But Trump is doing everything he can to throw the victory to Russia; and he has made the US a pariah in the world in the process. Unfortunately all of us will suffer, because this is definitely not putting America first. Its putting America in the Axis of Evil. We gave up leadership of the free world, for the opportunity to kiss Putin’s ass. The only people with Trump Derangement Syndrome are those in his Cult.
God bless the USA and glory to Ukraine. Two nations who fought for their right to exist and the freedom of their people. And to hell with those who would destroy them or their freedom.
Fun fact, when Zelensky, Trump, and Vance met. Zelensky was the only one not wearing makeup.
