ABOUT TIME …

The U.S. Department of Justice (USDOJ) is belatedly clearing out holdover U.S. attorneys – asking them to tender letters of resignation so that U.S. president Donald Trump and attorney general Jeff Sessions can appoint their replacements.

“As was the case in prior transitions, many of the United States Attorneys nominated by the previous administration already have left the Department of Justice,” said Sarah Isgur Flores, a spokeswoman at the agency. “The Attorney General has now asked the remaining 46 presidentially appointed U.S. Attorneys to tender their resignations in order to ensure a uniform transition. Until the new U.S. Attorneys are confirmed, the dedicated career prosecutors in our U.S. Attorney’s Offices will continue the great work of the Department in investigating, prosecuting, and deterring the most violent offenders.”

We suspect this announcement will provoke yet another irrational conniption fit from the far left, but in reality it is far from newsworthy.  Or abnormal.

“What Sessions has done … is considered standard operating procedure, and if anything Trump was late making the announcement,” our friends at Zero Hedge noted.

Also let’s be honest: The administration of former U.S. president Barack Obama defined the politicization of “justice.”  In innumerable ways.

So there’s that …

Which means any leftist who tries to make a mountain out of this particular molehill deserves a double shot of STFU.
