They can’t cheat or steal. The lying part may be up for discussion.
(In my opinion, they do steal, depriving the taxsuckers of quite a bit of revenue … thus urinating on the rest of us do not have that huge tax advantage. In my opinion.)
This is a nation of 315+ million people. Not the 2 million along part of the Atlantic coast in 1776. We need income taxes to do what all 21st century nations do…you know, pay for things like high tech modern armies for national security.
The tax exemptions/expenditures for any entity that does anything, even .00005% political activities need to be revoked; get rid of that entire 501 tax code section in the IRS code.
All non-profits seem to have the funds to pay their CEOs 6 figure salaries. If they can do that, they don’t need to be tax exempt.
Granted, the federal government does need a revenue stream to keep those bumbling, stumbling taxsuckers in the clover.
BUT, the revenue source DOES NOT have to be from an personal Income Tax levied on the citizens.
Example: The banks, all of them, get a huge break from the fed reserve and the treasury (any banker that can’t make a fat profit from <1% fed money loaned at 4.5+% is a total idiot). A simple transaction tax of 0.1% on the paper flippers in stocks, bonds and commodities, administered and collected by the SEC, would generate more than twice the revenue for the fed g'ment than all personal income taxes combined. (The bond markets alone flip more than $1 Trillion per day. … Abolishing the IRS would be totally painless for g'ment with such a 0.1% transaction tax.)
I’ve had a lot of negative things to say about Alan Clemmons. But not on this one. Whatever the motivation (and I will take him at his word on that), he’s doing the right thing.
It’s also good that Wren gave credit to FITSNews for breaking the story. Not a hard thing to do, just a line in an article. But it’s honest. We need more honest reporting from the “Legacy” press in South Carolina and the USA.
Meh. Clemmons did the wrong thing until the shit hit the fan. I wouldn’t be so quick to commend him.

He wouldn’t know if the feds were probing him even if he dropped his pants and bent over to look. The FBI doesn’t just show up at your door and make an announcement that they are watching you; unless Bill Nettle’s Office or SLED is leaking information (and it does go on investigations. Everybody knows that).
