Nikki Haley Blasts Donald Trump’s Cabinet Picks

Former ambassador slams selections as “dangerous” and “liberal…”

Publicly dissed by U.S. president-elect Donald Trump shortly after his election, defeated GOP presidential candidate Nikki Haley is exacting a small measure of vengeance by slamming his cabinet appointments.

On her Sirius XM radio show this week, Haley criticized Trump’s selection of former congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard as the nation’s next intelligence chief, saying it was “disgusting” of Gabbard to pose for a photograph with Syrian president Bashar al-Assad.

“So now she’s defended Russia, she’s defended Syria, she’s defended Iran, and she’s defended China,” Haley said. “No, she has not denounced any of these views. None of them. She hasn’t taken one of them back.”

Haley added the national intelligence office was “no place for a Russian, Iranian, Syrian, Chinese sympathizer.”

The comments continued an ongoing spat between the two national figures, with Gabbard previously blasting Haley as a disciple of warmongering female politicians Liz Cheney and Hillary Clinton.

“Nikki Haley is no different from Liz Cheney and Hillary Clinton – women who have never served in the military and feel the need to ‘prove’ how tough they are by always advocating for more war,” Gabbard wrote back in January ahead of the 2024 New Hampshire primary.

“A vote for Haley is a vote for endless and bigger wars,” Gabbard added.

The former South Carolina governor didn’t limit her criticism to Gabbard. She also blistered Trump for his choice of “liberal Democrat” Robert F. Kennedy Jr. as the nation’s health czar.

“He has sued multiple American companies,” Haley said of Kennedy. “He said very wealthy people should pay more taxes and corporations should pay more taxes. He is strongly pro-choice. On pharma, Trump promised to deregulate. (Kennedy) wants more oversight over pharma.”

Haley’s broadsides against Trump’s appointees should come as no surprise given the historic toxicity of their relationship – although the extent to which she can damage their prospects for appointment would appear to be limited.

Haley’s political stock, after all, is trading at all-time lows…

Reneging on a promise, Haley ran for president against Trump in 2024 – and was decisively defeated. After begrudgingly (and belatedly) confirming she would cast her vote for Trump over Democrat Kamala Harris, Haley was conspicuously absent from the campaign trail during the final weeks of the race.

Just days before the crucial vote on November 5, 2024, Haley blasted Trump and his running mate JD Vance for an alleged “bromance” that she insisted was going to hurt them with female voters.

“This bromance and masculinity stuff, it borders on edgy to the point that it’s going to make women uncomfortable,” Haley claimed.

Female voters obviously didn’t care: Trump won a higher percentage of women’s votes in 2024 than he did in either of his previous two campaigns, even with Harris aggressively targeting the abortion issue.

Still, Haley’s eleventh hour comments were clearly intended to hurt Trump and Vance with women – which is probably one reason Trump made it abundantly clear after securing his victory that Haley was going to be out of the loop (along with fellow warmongering “neoconservative” Mike Pompeo).

“I will not be inviting former ambassador Nikki Haley, or former secretary of state Mike Pompeo, to join the Trump administration,” the president-elect posted on social media shortly after his victory.

What’s a dissed Deep State diva to do, right?

Haley was part of Trump’s first administration, serving as his ambassador to the United Nations, but astute political observers will recall this appointment was not made out of deference to Haley – a leading #NeverTrumper at the time. Instead, it was a sop to then-South Carolina lieutenant governor Henry McMaster, a Trump loyalist who ascended to the governorship after Haley accepted the ambassadorship.

Does the fact that Haley made no denunciations of the nominees for Attorney General or Defense Secretary mean she is okay with two rapists holding those positions?

Oh Trikki, being a semi-conservative, “Liz Cheney lite” will get you no where these day.

It’s about time she grew a spine. As a Democrat, I’ve never agreed with her politics, but I previously respected her nonetheless. Trump and his appointees are DANGEROUS, and these people who supported him are also NUTS!

Nikki doesn’t seem to realize she is no longer relevant

Where was Nikki’s voice and concern for the American people when Biden appointed #Lawfare Garland as AG, and all the other DEI picks for his Cabinet? Happy with the past four years Nikki?
Nikki too will soon be heading to the scrapheap of politicians that are getting run over by the MAGA train and are no longer relevant.

What is it with Republicans? They are really into the women and children are property thing.

A President who molests women and brags about it, who has had numerous affairs on his three wives, and who was good friends with Epstine.
An AG who sex traffics minors and pays them for sex
A Defense Secretary accused of rape and who paid off the women he is alleged to have raped.
A head of the Department of Education who allegedly enabled the sexual exploitation of children by a World Wrestling Entertainment employee.

Where are all the Christians? Or do they agree women and children are just there for men to abuse? But this was all available information. So I guess I answered my own question. This is what America voted for.

Four years is a lot of tissues. Deal with it, Karen.

Not a Karen and no tears from me. Women voted for the immorality and corruption just like the men. It’s what you wanted, it’s what you will get, and we will all have to live with the consequences

When Elon and Vivek go after your Social Security and Medicare to pay for their billionaire tax cuts, you can’t say, “I didn’t know.” When middle-class families have to start selling their homes to pay for their parent’s nursing home bill because Trump and the GOP killed Medicaid, you can’t say, “I didn’t know.” When Trump stacks the military with generals loyal only to him, you can’t say I did not know. When DOJ starts going after Trump’s enemies, you can’t say I did not know. If we get out of NATO and start supporting war criminals and dictators, you can’t say I did not vote for that. If you have a child who can’t get health insurance because he or she has a pre-existing medical condition, you can’t say I didn’t know. When neo-Nazies and White Supremacists start marching openly in the streets the way they did in Columbus, Ohio the other day, you can’t say I did not vote for that. When your daughters start having their pregnancies monitored by state agencies, you can’t say I did not vote for that. If your daughter or granddaughter gets raped and has to carry the rapist’s child and support that child, you can’t say I did not vote for that. If your daughter or granddaughter has a complicated pregnancy and dies because certain care was no longer available, you can’t say, I did not vote for that.”

I have always spoken my mind and will continue to do so.

Were it not for news outlets reporting what Nikki sez on her stale, listener-anemic radio show, we’d never know of them.
