ROCK HILL – Conservative businessman Ralph Norman released two television commercials today as the May 16th Republican Primary Runoff quickly approaches.

Both ads slam Tommy Pope for being a trial lawyer. “My opponent and I have different worldviews,” said Norman. “As a small business owner, I crate jobs in our community and contribute to our local economy. As a trial lawyer, Tommy sues small businesses in our community, making over $1 million in workers compensation claims in the last year.”

The first ad, titled ‘Missed Votes’ rips Pope for receiving an “F” from the conservative watchdog SC Club for Growth, voting to raises taxes, increasing regulation, and supporting pork barrel spending.

Missed Votes

“My opponent claims he’s a conservative, but it’s just not true,” said Norman. “Tommy voted for over $1 billion in new taxes this year. He voted to spend taxpayer money on frivolous things like exhibition football games and even fishing trips for legislators.”

The second ad, titled ‘Not True Tommy’ slams Pope for his negative attacks that Norman says aren’t true.

Not True Tommy

“I’m a businessman like President Trump,” says Norman in the 30-second spot. “I’ll continue what Mick Mulvaney stared and make you proud in Washington, DC.”
