AMERICA’S THOUGHT NAZIS ARE AT IT AGAIN …
The selective enforcement of thought policing in America is once again on display as it pertains to the case of Florida teacher Veronica Fleming.
Fleming, a lab instructor at Parkside Elementary School in East Naples, was removed from her classroom last week after voicing support on social media for the immigration policies of U.S. president Donald Trump.
“The funny part about immigrants staying home is the rest of us who pay for them are here at work like we’ve always been,” Fleming wrote on her Facebook page in response to a recent round of protests against Trump’s policies. “Looks like less mouths to feed today. Have fun while you still can.”
“So glad to hear about massive deportation,” she added. “Let’s make America great again. Thanks Donald Trump!”
Needless to say, Fleming’s pro-Trump views run decidedly counter to the prevailing liberal “groupthink” of the nation’s educrat establishment. And she’s now paying the price for her intellectual divergence …

“This is a very tight-knit neighborhood school that stands for inclusion,” a spokesman for the Collier County school district told the Naples Daily News in response to Fleming’s Facebook post. “The teachers have nothing but love for these students. Anything else is not a reflection of the school.”
That’s fine. If all the school district did was criticize Fleming and distance itself from her remarks, we would have no problem.
But that’s not all the district did. Collier County removed Fleming from her classroom and reassigned her to “administrative duties” elsewhere … pending an investigation of the matter.
Wow … an investigation? Seriously?
The far left isn’t satisfied with Fleming’s reassignment, though. It wants her fired. Not only that, the argument being advanced in support of her termination is that Fleming taught at a school with a heavily minority population.
“As an educator at a school composed of predominantly Hispanic, Haitian, and students of other minorities, one should always be professional and behave as an impartial authority figure that is held to higher standards,” a petition on Change.org stated.
We could almost see that argument making sense … assuming evidence existed showing Fleming displaying bias in the discharge of her official duties. But no such evidence has been offered. Instead, this teacher is being targeted for termination simply for expressing her opinions.
That’s wrong … and unconstitutional.
If government-run schools are going to serve as megaphones for political correctness – spending millions of tax dollars on safe spaces and sanitized indoctrination – then they cannot discriminate when someone uses their personal microphone to voice a “contrary” opinion.
In other words, Fleming has every right to say whatever she pleases regarding the immigration issue – free from intimidation by the PC Nazis.
