S.C. governor Nikki Haley will travel to Fort Mill, S.C. this week to take part in a grand opening ceremony for Movement Mortgage.
That’s the company which received $53 million in taxpayer-funded incentives from Haley to relocate its corporate headquarters to York County from Charlotte, N.C. – and then promptly hired Haley’s close friend and political ally, S.C. Rep. Nathan Ballentine.

Anyway … as we noted in our prior coverage, this company specializes in doling out home loans to people who get turned down by banks. Remember the last time that happened? Yeah … once again, we do.
But hey … at least a state lawmaker got a job out of the deal …

The Fort Mill / Rock Hill area is a 20-30 minute commute from Charlotte. Why not let the company stay in Charlotte, let the Fort Mill / Rock Hill workers commute to Charlotte, and avoid the high expense to the South Carolina taxpayers for the subsidies?
