|| By FITSNEWS || Wisconsin governor Scott Walker will participate in U.S. Rep. Jeff Duncan‘s big “Faith and Freedom BBQ” event scheduled for next month in Anderson, S.C.

Last week, Duncan announced the participation of U.S. Senator Ted Cruz of Texas in this fifth annual installment of his gathering.  Additional speakers will be announced in the coming weeks.

“I’m excited to make another trip to South Carolina to speak to fellow Republicans about our big, bold reforms and how our party can succeed in 2016 and beyond,” said Walker. “I look forward to the opportunity to share our conservative message at this great event.”

We’ve written previously on how Duncan’s early-state influence is on the rise – prompting speculation as to who might receive his 2016 endorsement (as well as speculation regarding his own future aspirations down the road).

The third-term congressman certainly seems to be intrigued by Walker.

“Scott Walker has been on the front lines fighting for conservative issues in Wisconsin,” Duncan said.  “He has the respect of the people of South Carolina and I’m looking forward to hearing his message.”

Along with former Florida governor Jeb Bush, Walker has consistently been among the early frontrunners in early-voting South Carolina – although that was before the meteoric rise of billionaire real estate mogul Donald Trump.

Duncan’s event will take place on Monday August 24, 2015 at 5:30 p.m. EDT at the Anderson Civic Center (3027 Martin Luther King Jr Boulevard, Anderson, S.C.).  For more information on the event, visit www.JeffDuncan.com.

Maybe Walker can screw up the BBQ like he’s screwed up Wisconsin. “Sorry everyone, we know only 1 guest has eaten, but we’re all out of mac and cheese, pulled pork, ribs, greens, and dessert. We had Walker and his staff arrange the food.”

Reelected three times in four years in a blue state. Seems to me the Democrats screwed up, not Walker.

The Unions overplayed their hand.

The overall best candidate for POTUS. A proven governor with the record of success to prove it. He defeated the unions and won re-election in a recall vote. (First time in history of US.) He has turned the economy of Wis. around and now has a surplus. Say what you want, he must be doing something right. He will make a great president in the pattern of Reagan.

Actually under Walker job growth in the Dairyland has under performed compared to the rest of the nation. Also, he has had the benefit of solidly well educated workforce. He’s “cut” spending that has only increased local taxes in their efforts to keep up. He has zero foreign policy experience, doesn’t even have a college degree, let alone an advanced degree. One note, not since George HW Bush has a president not had advanced degrees (Clinton MA and JD, GWB MBA, Obama JD) – so unless Walker Wisconsin Ranger is planning on getting a quick MBA or JD – he’s not going to win. He won’t even make Bush’s VP list.

Only way Republicans lose is if Trump goes third party. Hillary is stuck at 47% and will lose every ‘swing state’.
Walker would make an excellent President.

vicupstate July 27, 2015 at 11:48 am

All the GOP candidates are ‘stuck’ below 47% too. You do realize that ‘undecided’ is an option on these polls and thus being below 50% is not unusual at all.

Hillary is very well known. She won’t receive more than 47% of the popular vote and this election will be more ‘local’ than others because of Obama’s lawlessness and attempts to destroy this nation.Who would have figured that the Electoral College would be a friend of the Republicans in 2016.
Voters consider Clinton a third term of Obama-ain’t gonna happen.

There is no surplus. walker cut billions from education, but still spends more than any governor inn Wisconsin history. He I had borrowed more than any gov in Wisconsin history as well. We are facing another massive deficit.
walker does nothing but lie to you.

As entertaining as several of the Republican candidates have been and that has propelled them upward in the the polls, it is time to think about who has the proven experience and reputation to lead this country. Walker should be near the top of the heap of valid contenders because he has a proven track record in his home state. At the present time there are only four or five candidates in the race that are worthy of consideration.

Would love to hear more about this ‘proven track record’ that repubs speak of. What, has the entire state not caught on fire or something, as totally not destroying everything seems to be a baseline for Repub Governors.

I’m glad to see that the race starting to heat up. I love the fact that Trump is outspoken but if he is not at this event then it will give the other candidates a chance to convey their message directly to SC voters.

There’s only the one message: “They’re all talk, no action, so they won’t do anything, anyway, just so you understand. They can talk all they want.”

John McCain’s a “dummy.” John Kasich is “desperate.” Rick Perry “needs new glasses.” Karl Rove is “a total loser.” “And then you have this guy Lindsey Graham, a total lightweight. Here’s a guy — in the private sector he couldn’t get a job. Believe me. Couldn’t get a job. He couldn’t do what you people did. You’re retired as hell and rich. He wouldn’t be rich; he’d be poor.””I see Rick Perry the other day. … He’s doing very poorly in the polls. He put on glasses so people will think he’s smart. And it just doesn’t work! You know people can see through the glasses!”

“The new governor, Governor Abbott … I see him, he’s so vicious. He used to be a really nice guy. He used to come see me for contributions, for support. All of a sudden he wants to show [mocking voice] he’s a tough guy with Trump. So tough.””I’m not a fan of Jeb Bush, because Jeb Bush is a fan of Common Core and weak on immigration. … And he’s not a dealmaker. Who would you rather have negotiating against China?”

“I have many millions [of followers] between Twitter and Facebook. It’s great. It’s like owning a newspaper without the losses. It’s incredible.”

“The press is very dishonest.”

“Bunch of clowns. Bunch of real clowns.”

And other the other side you have a communist, racist (Sanger) loving Hillary Clinton that couldn’t hang on to nomination that was hers to lose against a guy that no one had heard of at the time. Her opponent is even more of a communist to a degree that he makes her look like a conservative Republican. But she better look out because not many people have heard of this guy either.

Democrats sprint in a marathon July 27, 2015 at 3:02 pm

You’re running against a pack because the media tells you to hate anything that moves. Hillary will have to run against one, using Obama’s record.

You’re in BIG fucking trouble. And I bet you’re too fucking stupid to realize that.

We'll get the GOP's BEST! July 27, 2015 at 3:00 pm

All Trump is really doing is showing the GOP what a liar the media is about bad-mouthing liberals and the Bullshit they have forced on us. Trump is showing that slapping the shit out the media will bring the American people to their feet with cheers.

The best Republicans are learning from what Trump is doing. And the best of the best will use Trump’s method the beat the fuck out the media, and which ever clown ends up as the Democrat nominee.

It really should not matter who the Ds run. A good Republican will rip them, and the media apart.

lol!!!! you people are nuts if you have been bamboozled by walker! this week’s Marquette University poll revealed that three out of every four WISCONSIN REPUBLICANS NOW WOULD NOT VOTE FOR SCOTT WALKER… take it from the people who know scott walker best! despite all his claims, his REAL performance numbers tell the truth! it took a while for wisconsin republicans to wake up to the REAL scott walker – but now that he’s been in office for a while, walker couldn’t get elected as dog catcher in wisconsin. i suspect the REAL reason he’s running for president is he needs to get out of wisconsin before he’s tarred and feathered and run out of the state on a rail! his time in our governor’s office has proven even to people who supported him that he’s nothing more than a fast talking, lying, corrupt, incompetent nincompoop who’s driven our state’s long-term debt higher and faster than ANY governor in our state’s history. despite his claims of a “balanced budget” the truth is, his recent budget has a $2.2 BILLION shortfall. our state is ranked number one in the DECLINE of our middle class, dead last in job creation in the midwest, 48th in small business environment, wages in wisconsin have GONE DOWN 14% since he’s been governor, 71% of our once beautiful roads now need immediate replacement or repair and there’s no money to address them, our property values have plumetted, he’s gutted funding for our university and schools, for our dept of natural resources, and every penny of funding for our state parks trying to cover for the debt he’s created. six of his executive staff have been convicted of FELONIES ranging from pedophilia to stealing large sums of money from a veteran’s charity. the job creation agency he personally created and was chairman of the board on – WEDC – has “misplaced” $8 MILLION, has funneled over 60% of it’s grants and loans directly walker’s political supporters without going through any approval process – in one case alone, $500,000 was given to a walker donor who had just given walker $10,000 the day before – and dissolved the business shortly thereafter without repaying the loan. the board of WEDC recently FIRED walker as it’s chairman after not just one – but TWO – scathing audits revealed consistent and total mismanagement and a series of broken state laws. if you want a man who will drive your economy DEEP into long-term red ink that your great grandkids will still be repaying long after you’re dead, who was ranked by politifact as the country’s lyingest politician, who will use your hard-earned tax dollars like his own personal piggy bank to funnel YOUR money directly to HIS donors, who will gut the funding for your schools, and roads, and who “looks like a drunk in a silent movie who was just punched by mistake.”, go ahead, support him! but don’t be surprised when you finally discover that you can’t believe a word he says.
