AND HE’S GOING TO NEED EVERY LAST ONE OF THEM …

|| By FITSNEWS || Former Florida governor and establishment “Republican” frontrunner Jeb Bush raised $11.4 million during his first sixteen days as a candidate for president of the United States.  For those of you keeping score at home, that’s $710,000 per day.

Of course that haul is nothing compared to the money raised by the “Right to Rise” super political action committee (a.k.a. super-PAC) – which is supporting Bush’s candidacy.  That organization raked in an astronomical $103 million.

Add it all up and Bush is sitting on a war chest of nearly $115 million – more than twice the amount U.S. Senator Ted Cruz of Texas recently reported.

Bush’s $103 million in super-PAC cash – a.k.a. “soft money” – also dwarfs the $38 million collected by Cruz supporters or the $32 million collected by supporters of U.S. Senator Marco Rubio of Florida.

So … should we just call off the GOP primary and proceed directly to Bush v. Clinton?

Not so fast …

Bush may have a lot of money, but his name comes with a lot of baggage … as does his record.  In other words if he’s going to convince leery GOP primary voters to support him, he’s going to need every last one of those dollars.

Bush the Dumbest vs. Killiary would confirm my bias and prove everything Mencken said as correct:

“Democracy is the theory that the common people know what they want, and deserve to get it good and hard.”

He commented a couple of weeks ago that the common people deserve what they get in terms of government because they allow themselves to be manipulated by sociopathic pols.

My contention is that it’s still cruel to punish retarded people for being retarded. (and that goes for low IQ as well)

Work more hours, without overtime of course.

Work into your 70s and 80s, without retirement of course.

Stop expecting vacation and sick days.

Stop making us pay you a minimum wage.

Stop bugging us about safety concerns.

Stop bugging us about environmental concerns.

Stop bugging us with regulations that might protect other people from us.

Let us cut your benefits, the company “needs” it.

Train the H1B worker who is replacing you so we can hurry up and fire you.

Let us send your job overseas to someone who is under threat of starvation for refusing our penny wages.

Let us give ourselves bonuses, the executives “deserve” it.

We screwed up and are facing bankruptcy, bail us out.

Something we do is expensive, pay for it for us so we don’t have to.

Our competition is better than us, pass this law to give us an advantage over them.

Let us hire children, we won’t put them in horrible conditions this time.

Don’t kick out illegal immigrants, we can exploit their status for low wage labor.

Kill FMLA, tell your family your job is more important.

This country has a leader who cares about their own people, topple his regime and put someone who has our interests at heart in his place.

People are protesting peacefully against us, show up in riot gear and arrest them.

Our workers are striking, send the national guard to stop them.

We paid someone to kill union sympathizers, look the other way please.

The people are on to us, government needs to shackle the livestock before they escape.

I have said I won’t vote another Bush. Gov. Haley may cause me to change my position on that. IF she runs as VP or POTUS (POTUS is my preference), I will likely vote that ticket. Not sure what will happen in primaries at this point — too early to predict.

Haley doesn’t stand a chance as VP candidate. She is poison with conservative and contributors after her political love affair (I now believe Will Folks about his affair with Nikki which makes her unfit for public office again in my opinion) with Jackson and Sharpton the past couple of weeks. She essentially called the Biblical Christians that stood by her DESPITE her moral, ethical and political failings and follys, bigots and racists over this flag issue.

Her political foes and blacks certainly used her to take the confederate flag down and are laughing their asses off. My ‘sources’ in several states are not laughing.

They know she is a fraud and can’t be trusted in the Republican Party.

rubel July 9, 2015 at 6:58 pm

I don’t care if she did have an affair with Folks – I care, that she cares about the people.

Our definition of BIBLICAL people is very different. While I respect the Jesus philosophy and yes, I fail miserably, I still find his teachings a good moral lesson. There is no one better to turn Christians away from Religion than Christians seeking purity. That wasn’t the message Jesus gave, it isn’t the message I believe.

Gov. Haley has been VERY respectful of other religions, races, and people in general. She values people. She listens. She cares. She has argued for those of different religions, even when I didn’t agree with her reasons.

No one used her. That is my opinion. Governor Haley is far smarter than any give her credit for. Hey — I’ve disagreed with her on issues, but I can tell you right now — the best thing any Republican Presidential candidate could possibly have going for them — Gov. Haley.

Love her — hate her — doesn’t matter. She does the right thing in the end. She has proven it time and time again. No one wants to hear that — the truth hurts.

Haley 2016!

I don’t care IF she had an affair with Will Folks-I care that she LIED about it IF it is true.

If the affair happened, look the destruction she has reaped on Will and his family. His business.

Maybe your faith and values tell you that is okay.I didn’t raise my children that way. I am sure you don’t. You appear to be a nice person although misguided.

Nobody has defended Haley as much as I have on Fits the last couple of years however what she pulled on the Confederate Flag to move forward her OWN national political aspirations, is a disgrace to those that elected her in SC, in my opinion.

Ask her, ask Will Folks, ask her Campaign Manager at the time, ask Bauer’s staffer — IF you really care to know the answer.

She has overcome that hurdle, that was a decade ago.

If it was or is an affliction on Will and family, he certainly has not expressed that.

flip July 9, 2015 at 7:35 pm

She hasn’t overcome that ‘hurdle’.It will keep her from any SERIOUS consideration for VP slot as MOST believe the affair happened.DNC would have a field day with that alleged affair. in a Presidential election cycle. Sara Palin would look like Mother Teresa after they got done with Haley.

Biblical conservative Christians ignored it in SC for THREE reasons: Obama, her policy positions on abortion and traditional marriage and her weak/socialist opponents on the Democrat Party side.

Just an opinion from the people I speak with.

rubel July 9, 2015 at 7:49 pm

I feel I know the answer to the question everyone seeks, but I also believe the time to address that has already lapsed. To bring it up again, will only discredit those who wish to piggy back on a decade old rumor/event -however one chooses to view it.

Those closest to her betrayed her and yet she has overcome it. She is smart enough to keep her enemies close (save Folks ;)).

I personally don’t care if she did or didn’t — that was a long time ago and she was young, so was Will Folks.

FITSNews has benefited. She has been a good Governor. It’s a win for all.

flip July 9, 2015 at 8:24 pm

Some good points.Thanks.

rubel July 9, 2015 at 7:56 pm

The people I speak with have a much higher opinion of her than I do — for what it’s worth. I might add, I live in a VERY VERY VERY biblical area. Churches on every corner – most I could walk to.

flip July 9, 2015 at 8:22 pm

She would be running for VP of the USA-NOT GOP precinct chair on your street.

Lapsed? You believe the DNC will think that alleged affair is not important and NOT DESTROY a Republican Presidential ‘ticket’ if she is on it?

I can’t speak for Fits or Haley. I can tell you the baggage Haley would bring to a GOP 2016 ‘ticket’ over this issue would elect Hillary.

Not the alleged affair, the LYING about such an alleged affair.

Our country hangs in the balance. An American hating pResident that has shredded and perverted our Constitution and the moral/cultural foundations in this country. The country and GOP has NO room for error. Haley would sink the GOP.

rubel July 9, 2015 at 8:30 pm

Let me preface everything I say with — at one time I felt the need to take up for FITSNews — he didn’t want my sympathy.

Truth is, few believe the affair ever took place. Those who do, are not going to speak out. My guess — those involved will leverage political capital for the benefit of all.

Our country does hang in a balance — who do you trust. That is the question.

My last comment on this tonight. My circle is mostly very conservative people, most far more than I am. From the staunch conservatives, this is what I have heard.

They voted/cheered for Haley AFTER the rumors of affair came out. They hate “that guy” who tried to ruin her career. Many think it is because she is a woman that the attacks came.

Show me proof of her many blatant acts of corruption for the enrichment of self and cronies. I’m listening, I just don’t find it.

I can’t find any proof to dispute her family line. Difficult for me to imagine a woman so emotional for political gain. That was one hell of a play. If that was her intent she should be on some drama TV show, because it sure the heck looked real.

I can’t pretend to know how all women think or feel, but I can tell you now, I wouldn’t have that in me unless I truly believed it.
