|| By FITSNEWS || Leaders in the S.C. House of Representatives tell FITS two additional women have signed affidavits against former S.C. Rep. Nelson Hardwick – who resigned last week in the midst of an investigation into allegations of sexual harassment made against him by a female House staffer.
News of Hardwick’s resignation – and the allegations which precipitated it – broke exclusively on FITS earlier this week.
We were also the first outlet to report on additional allegations made against the 63-year-old married lawmaker.
According to our sources, the affidavits were received by House leaders in the aftermath of Hardwick’s resignation – but they declined to elaborate on what the documents alleged.
FITS has identified at least four different women who have reportedly been on the receiving end of unwanted sexual advances by Hardwick, however out of respect for their privacy we are not publishing their names.
Hardwick, incidentally, is not going gently into that good night. And obviously he’s innocent until proven guilty.
