Columbia, S.C. mayor Steve Benjamin is among the most corrupt elected officials South Carolina has ever seen (which is saying something). Don’t believe us? Just look at how his tenure began … and how it continues.

Anyway, despite the fact he’s a person of interest in a joint federal-state investigation into illegal gambling … and despite the fact his city has descended into rampant lawlessness … and despite the fact he’s blowing tens of millions of tax dollars on shady development deals and empty parking garagesBenjamin is going to be reelected this November.

According to the results of a city mayoral poll obtained by FITS – Benjamin currently enjoys a whopping 32-point lead over his nearest rival.

The poll – conducted by an outfit not affiliated with any of the city’s mayoral campaigns – shows Benjamin receiving 51 percent of the vote compared to 19 percent for city councilman Moe Baddourah and nine percent for former FBI analyst Larry Sypolt.

Ouch.

Wait … Moe … Larry … where’s Curly? Maybe if Curly jumps in …

Oh well, barring an indictment or some other equally seismic revelation … look forward to more of the same “leadership,” Columbia. In fact we fully expect Benjamin to step up his corruption given his insurmountable lead.

Who would poll this race if they didn’t have any affiliation with a mayoral campaign?

Good point. Who would pay for a poll for such a low office, unless it was a candidate?

The only candidate that has a chance of beating Benjamin is one that is black.

There’s a reason that 95% of blacks voted for Obama, and it’s not because he was half-white.

The Mayor’s girlfriends will be happy. And the working ladies at the Sheraton and Hilton…

He’s boning a lot of fish… not including his wife. And I will include he IS boning most of the Citizens (figuratively).

There are a bunch of inner circle Democratic party white folks making money off of Benjamin’s corruption. He will eventually implode like Cromatie did. Toal has got his back on any state charges big time. It will take the Feds coming down and they really don’t care that much about local politics.

Look at all the dumbasses busting their balls to make him a “strong” mayor. Someone surely is making money off of his corruption, other than himself.

Dear Mr. Benjamin,

Please get with your buddies on the Richland County council and start a gun buy back program. With all the rampant gun violence going on in Columbia it only makes sense. After Columbia buys up all the old decrepit, I mean all the useful and damaging guns the gun violence will disappear completely and you will have a clear shot at Governor. Have them make the amount offered $500 for each gun and they can get the money from that penny sales tax the voters (wink, wink) passed. It only makes sense, look at all the lives that will be saved, probably more than a hundred thousand. Think of the headlines “BENJAMIN SAVES 100,000 LIVES”. You’ll be a hero!!!

Thank you,

Needa Newgun

I seen Benjamin, and several of the {so called} Lexington Ring do some pretty shady things back when the (Rust) club was the hang out for political scumbags and their lobbyist. I now know that lobbyist is another name for one who buys off political officials. Anyway, back to my comment, Benjamin, Frazier, Metts, knots, Sir lancerlot Wright, Tool and many others used the clubs private room for more than one would think. If walls could talk, all of them would end up in prison….. Hope the Fed’s don’t stop until these scumbags are where they belong.

By the way, Benjamin only talks the the “Black Media.” You’ll never see him interviewed by a non-black reporter.

During the post-election accident, his buddy Judi (Barren as the Mojave) Gatson put the kibosh on any negative or critical stories from the WIS-TV about Benjamin.

Unless Jody Barr ambushes him at a public appearance.

In fact Barr was Barred by Benjamin’s handlers from interviewing him. Any kind of statement or comment would have to come from him ambushing him.

I am actually waiting for some kind of bombshell to drop on Benjamin a couple days before the election. There’s too much dirt out there and a guy like Moe is just douche-y enough to use all of it.
