Recently, we announced the launch of an important online survey that will help us in our campaign to keep Big Trash from turning our state into the nation’s dumping ground.
Last year, we stalled the “Big Trash” bill (commonly called the “flow control” bill). H.3290 would have bankrupted public landfills by preventing counties from controlling the flow of municipal solid waste. The fight is not over and the bill now waits for action in the State Senate.
If public landfills are forced to sell out to the Big Trash corporations, an open door is created for more out-of-state garbage – hence our continuing opposition to the “Big Trash” bill.
In that regard, we are conducting an online survey of our supporters to properly gauge our organization’s strengths and enable us to effectively plan for future public policy discussions. By understanding our network of relationships with members of the General Assembly, we can build advocacy programs that help advance our positions on issues that directly impact our state.
As employees, voters, volunteers and contributors to the communities where you live and work, your voices and opinions are extremely influential. Through this brief survey you can provide information on the issues that are important to you, the stakeholders within your network, and the level of advocacy you would be willing to undertake on our behalf.
The survey will take very little of your time but your participation will make a tremendous difference. There is no right or wrong answer to any of the questions, we simply ask for your honest feedback.
We greatly appreciate your time and participation. You can begin your survey by following the link below.
Should you have problems accessing or completing this survey, please contact support by email at[email protected] or by phone at 1 (877) 4Ask-RAP.
Thank you for your support.
