Columbia – The South Carolina Democratic Party released the following statement from Chair Dick Harpootlian on the new ad released today by Nikki Haley’s Super PAC, The Movement Fund:
“This ad reeks of desperation and proves that Nikki Haley and her closest allies know that she is incredibly unpopular and vulnerable to defeat in 2014. With no record to run on, Nikki Haley has to resort political attacks and negative advertising before she’s even officially announced.
“South Carolina continues to have one of the highest unemployment rates in the country and one of the most corrupt and inept state governments that allowed 3.7 million people’s tax information to be hacked under her reign. A Hail-Mary bailout paid for by radical national Tea Party leaders won’t be able to change the facts of life for those struggling in Nikki Haley’s South Carolina.”
