Posting will be light later this afternoon as our founding editor Will Folks (a.k.a. “Sic Willie”) participates in a panel discussion in Columbia, S.C. hosted by the S.C. Public Relations Society of America (SCPRSA).
The topic? “Building relationships.”
Wait … what? You’ve got to be kidding, right? The only thing Sic Willie knows about building relationships is how to, well, “not.”
“You don’t just blow up bridges, you find the depots with the bridge building materials and you blow those up, too,” one South Carolina politico once told him.
Anyway … the real purpose of this event is to explain to people how they should approach bloggers with story ideas.
“Blogging has taken on the role of becoming a mainstream source of social media,” the event invite states.
Of course as we’ve noted on previous occasions the best way to get something placed on this website is to appeal to our founding editor’s legendary shoe fetish. Ah, journalistic integrity!
