FITSNewsRemember Chesterfield County (S.C.) Sheriff Sam Parker? Two months ago this website reported exclusively on a S.C. State Law Enforcement Division (SLED) investigation into allegations Parker was using inmate labor for work on private property.
Which is par for the course in this ass backwards, corrupt-as-hell state …
Well, this week a statewide grand jury returned indictments against Parker on four counts of misconduct in office. In addition to the inmate labor charges, Parker has also been accused of providing inmates with contraband … and we’re not talking about posters of Rita Hayworth, neither.
If convicted of the charges, Parker faces up to two decades behind bars.
Parker gained infamy in the Pee Dee region of the state two years ago for his connection to the gruesome shooting of twenty-two dogs at an animal shelter run by the Sheriff’s office. He’s also joined at the hip with several shady characters in this incredibly corrupt region of the state – including disgraced former solicitor Jay Hodge.
In other words this couldn’t have happened to a nicer guy …
