First Taneyhill, now Garcia. Shaw also had a health scare a few months back. What’s going on with all these Gamecocks QBs? Damn Chicken Curse.
No “chicken curse” but a generational rise of colon cancer among the relatively young.
Prevention is better than cure; and it is too late for PRIMARY prevention for Garcia, but not for the rest of you.
More fruits, vegetable, grains and nuts; and less red meat and processed meat. That is science, not politics.
Kind of a side tangent, but it never ceases to amaze me how absolutely wrong RFK Jr. and the MAHA movement consistently is. The relevant portion here is that concentrating on upping meat intake and the like and not stressing fiber is absolutely not helping cancers like these, like, at all. It is genuinely infuriating to have someone claim to want to fix the nutrition of the American diet and miss the mark so badly.
Obviously my heart goes out to Garcia and his family, and I’m not making any claims about his diet or anything like that. Like anyone else I want to see cancers of all kinds on the decline, and while diet isn’t a silver bullet, it is a big factor.
