Letter: FITSNews’ Slanted Horry County Coverage

“You guys are targeting the good guys …”

Dear Editor,

I have no idea who wrote the article on the hiring – months ago – of the new administrator’s wife by the Horry County treasurer. What I do know is that the entire article is filled with obvious allegations and insinuations and a slant that only an Olympic ski-jumper would appreciate.

In other words, what a crock!

Horry County is my home, so this stuff matters to me. Furthermore, I was on council for sixteen years so am quite familiar with the machinations of the politicians both in and around county government.

You guys are targeting the good guys (according to the majority in Horry, as evidenced by the election of Johnny Gardner and rejection of Mark Lazarus) which tells me all I need to know about who’s pulling your strings.

Shame on you.

Sincerely,

Liz Gilland
