“Mayorhood” Made Hillary Clinton’s Veepstakes

Corrupt, liberal Columbia, S.C. mayor Steve Benjamin was one of seven black politicians who received consideration as Hillary Clinton‘s 2016 running mate.

That’s according to an email contained in the latest Wikileaks disclosures.

The other names on Clinton’s list?  U.S. Senator Cory Booker, U.S. secretary of transportation Anthony Foxx, Tallahassee mayor Andrew Gillum, former U.S. attorney general Eric Holder, Atlanta mayor Kasim Reed, former Massachusetts governor Deval Patrick.

The names of all seven black candidates were included in one grouping of a larger list of twenty-nine individuals.

According to the author of the list, the names were listed according to “rough food groups.”

Because that’s not racist …

It’s not clear whether Clinton’s campaign ever did any vetting of Benjamin, although our guess is if they did it didn’t go well.

Like … at all.
