LIBERAL MAYOR CALLS IN THE FEDS …
The mayor of Georgetown, S.C. – who narrowly won reelection in 2013 via the worst sort of race-based scaremongering – is playing the race card again.
During a meeting of the town’s government this week, Jack Scoville dropped a bomb on town council members when he announced that he was calling in the federal government in response to allegations of “voter suppression and intimidation.”
“It has come to my attention that there has been a very, um, coordinated effort to suppress the African-American vote in this upcoming election,” Scoville announced. “I have been in contact with the United States Department of Justice and am calling for a full investigation into this matter.”
“This violates very substantial and numerous federal and state laws against voter suppression and intimidation,” Scoville added. “I am pursuing that and have every intention of brining that to a full and appropriate resolution.”
Interesting … and what about the allegations that Scoville rigged the last election in Georgetown, S.C.?

This is nothing new. Republicans all over tge south have been trying to suppress the African-American vote for the last decade. It’s working too.
As one of the candidates in this race I take offense to that remark. You know not what you speak as far as this is concerned. There has been a letter circulating town that alleges voter fraud by Scoville. For him to try to turn that into a suppression argument defies all levels of good sense. If the DOJ does come in and investigates “AND I WELCOME THAT” I am one hundred percent certain they will find nothing on any of the three Republicans running. I have run a clean campaign and have reached out to all the voters in this town. I chose to run as a Republican because this is one of a handful of municipalities that allows National Party partisan crap to ruin its elections. Thanks for sharing your unsubstantiated view and have a nice life!
