Greenville, S.C. (April 21, 2014) – National conservative leader and U.S. Senator Tim Scott (R-SC) will headline the Presidential Leadership Series at Bob Jones University tomorrow (Tues., April 22) at 7 p.m. in the Founder’s Memorial Amphitorium (FMA) on the BJU campus.

“We are delighted to host nationally-known speakers like Senator Scott at BJU who can inform and challenge our students,” said Dr. Stephen Jones, president of BJU. “Scott is nationally recognized as a conservative leader on tax reform, school choice, religious liberty and expanding opportunities for all citizens. I look forward to having our students and members of the Greenville community join us for Scott’s address.”

Scott was appointed by Governor Nikki Haley to fill the unexpired term of former U.S. Senator Jim DeMint in Dec. 2012. Prior to his appointment to the U.S. Senate, Scott served as a member of the U.S. House of Representatives, the South Carolina House of Representatives and Charleston County Council.

Scott will speak about his personal background and how God used his mother and a godly mentor to encourage him to unleash his potential. He will be challenging listeners to unleash their own potential to make a difference in the world. He will take questions following his remarks.

The event is free and open to the public.  Doors to the FMA will open at 6:30 p.m.  Parking is available in the parking garage located directly behind Rodeheaver Auditorium as well as on campus streets.

Considering all the stupid cabinet appointments she’s made, (see DSS, DHEC, DEW), Scott’s appointment is one she got right.

I regularly receive Tim Scott’s emails – hope he has something more to say than in those emails – the emails go around and around in circles like this: Obamacare Bad! – Obama Bad! – IRS! – Behghazi! – Obamacare bad!

SCBlues is the guy who turns everything into an issue of race. That is, of course, only when it benefits the liberals. When a good, honest, solid minority legislator like Tim Scott comes along, he gets confused. He thinks ObamaCare, IRS performance, and what happened in Benghazi were all wonderful. “The only good black is a dema-black”. Sounds like the NAACP. Is Ben Carson dumb too, SCB?

You are laughable. Okay – show me where I brought up race. Show me where I called Tim Scott dumb. At least try to be honest – oh sorry, I guess that goes against your conservative principles.

Wow…BJU is letting a black guy on campus? I suspect they’ve warned all the white girls to stay the minimum 1.5 miles away at all times while he’s there. Cause you know, interracial liaison is straight from the “debil”

Secondly, this is a new low for Tim Scott. Why on the flying spag. monster’s green earth would you give the time of day to these cultists? For shame.

And so it was written…S.C. continues to reach further back in time while the rest of the civilized world moves forward.

Bob’s College hasn’t been racist for 30 years. He prayed and Jesus said, “Black, Jack.” And that’s the way it’s been ever since. Anybody who thinks Bob Jones is a segregated remnant of the 50’s is just plain wrong. The invitation to Tim is a natural for them. If my business didn’t demand my presence in another town, I’d be there.
