Liberal trial lawyer Vince Sheheen, a career politician from Camden, has ducked and dodged the most important issues facing South Carolina for years–all in the name of trying to be all things to all people.

While standing against, even stonewalling, many of the essential reforms Governor Haley and our Republicans have been fighting to deliver to taxpayers, Vince has been enthusiastically and publicly embracing President Obama’s signature agenda items as his own.

South Carolina Republican Party Chairman issued the following statement detailing what South Carolina would look like with Vince Sheheen as Governor:

“Today, as Governor Haley announces that she’ll run for re-election, South Carolina is moving in the right direction– unemployment is down, our businesses are growing, and when President Obama and his allies push massive spending disasters and mandates from Washington, Governor Haley and our Republican team fight back,” said Chairman Matt Moore.

“If Vince Sheheen were governor, the opposite would be true. A lawyer who opposed tort reform and makes hundreds of thousands of dollars suing the state, Vince Sheheen and President Obama would stifle economic growth. When Vince embraced the Obamacare expansion, he sent a clear message to South Carolina small businesses that four years of a Sheheen government would be bad for our bottom line.”

Vince Sheehen Supported President Barack Obama’s Re-Election:

  • As A Delegate At The DNC Convention Vincent Sheheen Vowed To Support President Barack Obama And His Agenda.(Democratic National Committee Website, “2012 Convention Delegates,”Democrats.org, Accessed 7/25/13)

Vince Sheheen Supports Big Unions, Not The South Carolina Worker

Vince Sheheen Wants Obamacare In South Carolina

  • In March 2013, Sheheen Supported The Expansion Of Medicaid Under Obamacare. “South Carolina should give health insurance to more poor people — at least as long as the federal government is willing to pay for it, state Sen. Vincent Sheheen saidThursday. The announcement, made on the campus of the Medical University of South Carolina, focused mostly on Gov. Nikki Haley’s refusal to expand the program under the federal Affordable Care Act…”(Adam Beam, Sheheen Endorses Temporary Expansion Of Medicaid, The State, 3/7/13)
  • In 2010, Vince Sheheen Supported Obamacare. “Democratic gubernatorial nominee Vincent Sheheen … supports much of federal health care reform.” (John O’Connor, “Sheheen Backs Health Reform, Immigrant Law”, McClatchy Newspapers, 8/26/10)

In His Own Book Vince Sheheen Says He Wants To Raise Taxes In South Carolina.

Vince Sheheen Furthers His Own Economic Interests At The South Carolina Taxpayer’s Expense

  • Sheheen Has Made Hundreds Of Thousands Of Dollars Suing The State Of South Carolina. “The law firm of Democratic gubernatorial nominee Vincent Sheheen earned hundreds of thousands of dollars working for and against state agencies in court over the past decade, according to public documents provided by the Comptroller General’s Office.” (John O’Connor, “Sheheen Firm Profits From State Government,” The State, 10/11/10)

Does the SCGOP really want to start picking on the given names of gubernatorial candidates? Looking at you, Nimrata Kaur Randhawa Haley.

When told that the expansion of Medicaid would bring 40,000 healthcare jobs to SC, Haley and Tom Davis sat on their hands and denied the expansion. Sheheen will do the right thing.

Demonizing is just part of the game…This will not affect not one single independent voter, just like the future Sheheen and SCDP attack adds will not sway a single independent voter. The vast majority are apathetic and don’t care for these things. I think statements like this only help entertain the small number of masses that actually give a damn on either side until election day

Okay, so you want a chance at seeing a Republican governor beat Sheheen, give us someone worth voting for. I don’t like Sheheen and will not be voting for him, but neither will I vote again for Haley.

I’m surprised that this press release didn’t mention the myriad of Old Testament plagues which will engulf us if Vince is elected. I don’t know about you folks but the thought of being buried chest deep in frogs and locusts terrifies me. Let’s not forget Sic Willie waving around his wang until it turns into a snake.

Let’s not forget Sic Willie waving around his staff (as in Moses) until it turns into a snake (salamander? newt? tadpole?).
