Girl Scout Cookie Bandit Caught

Greenville County, S.C. sheriff’s deputies have apprehended a man who stole nearly $20,000 worth of Girl Scout Cookies from a warehouse in Spartanburg, S.C. last month.
Christopher Maurice Morton, 31, has been charged with felony breach of trust in the wake of the heist.
According to police, the Woodruff, S.C. native was a truck driver for a local moving and storage business in Spartanburg – the same business which reported 450 missing cases of thin mints (mmmmmm) and shortbread cookies (also, mmmmmm) from its facilites on February 26.
In addition to arresting Morton, police recovered 350 cases of the delicious cookies.
No word yet on whether the suspect sold – or ate – the other 100 cases.
