Not sure how attempting to move from a role as Provost of one major state university to President of another can be construed as “jumping ship”, but this website full of alarmist hacks will always paint news concerning USC with the worst possible slant. Now if he was attempting to take the same position at LSU, then there might be some validity to this POV, but he’s not, so there isn’t.
