Why would the Republicans want him?
Pascoe has always observed the rule of law. People forget that our current AG fought Pascoe after appointing him on the legislature case after he started getting to close to real corruption and Lindsey Graham pushed against him becoming US Attorney because he would have cleaned up the State House and put a lot of Republicans and Democrats in jail where they belong. Apart from his unwavering integrity he is one of the most able prosecutors in the courtroom. Don’t let the democrat noise fool you, they are mad he left.
Still a democrat, still a liberal no different than so many of the current RINOs in the statehouse. Swap parties but keep the liberal ideology.
