As expected, the latest edition of our ‘Week in Review‘ focused exclusively on the savage, ritualistic ‘Rose Petal Murder’ – which came to a head in a Greenville, South Carolina courtroom this week with the conviction of 32-year-old concert pianist Zachary David Hughes.
Hughes was sentenced to life in prison for the October 2021 stabbing death of 41-year-old veterinary technician Christina Parcell – an investigation which took innumerable twists and turns involving multiple players.
Those twists and turns were on display during the two-week trial of Hughes – which was covered on location extensively by our research director Jenn Wood and special projects director Dylan Nolan.

Jenn and Dylan engage in a lively discussion about the trial – and a controversial decision by S.C. circuit court judge Patrick C. Fant III to keep child porn allegations involving the victim out of the proceedings.
Also, to read just how decisive that ruling on the child pornography (a.k.a. “child sex abuse materials,” or CSAM) actually was, Jenn has an in-depth exclusive story about the deliberations which led to Hughes’ convictions.
Once again, thanks to everyone who watched the show this week and please remember, your support drives everything we do at FITSNews.
