As reported exclusively by this media outlet over the holiday weekend, embattled South Carolina pastor John-Paul Miller‘s ongoing bid to seize control of the narrative surrounding his late wife’s untimely death is once again taking center stage. Only instead of delivering his messages through court filings, social media posts and press interviews, this time his chosen outlet was the place he seems most comfortable – the pulpit.
After multiple sources informed us of Miller’s plans to resume preaching at Solid Rock Church in Myrtle Beach, S.C., we have confirmed he did indeed step back in front of his congregation for the first time since the death of his estranged wife, Mica Francis Miller, on April 27, 2024.
A packed house awaited him, according to sources familiar with his return to the pulpit.

To recap: Mica was found dead at the Lumber River State Park in Robeson County, North Carolina on April 27, 2024. Her death was officially ruled a suicide by investigators and medical examiners. On April 28, 2024, less than twelve hours after being notified of her death, Miller delivered a sermon at Solid Rock which closed with a bizarre announcement of her passing – complete with instructions to his congregants not to discuss it as they left the church.
Mica died less than 48 hours after serving her husband with divorce papers.
Miller’s sermon invited a cloud of suspicion that still hovers over him as online sleuths try to decipher details from Mica’s final day – and specifically what could have compelled her to purchase a gun and drive to a remote location she had no apparent connection to for the purpose of taking her own life. The worship singer and aspiring missionary seemed intent on looking to the future – and her behavior in the days and hours leading up to her death gave no indication she was planning to end her life.
For example, she had just paid taxes on her car – and paid fees to an attorney to handle her divorce from Miller. Also, doorbell footage from the apartment where she was staying showed her dressed for work when she left on the morning of her death.

On May 5, 2024 – as the controversy continued to gain ground – Miller was temporarily relieved of his ministerial duties. The announcement came from church member Charles Randall, an overseer of Solid Rock Ministries.
In a recent email to the congregation, John-Paul signaled he was ready to resume his ministerial duties.
“I have been working in a limited ministry capacity while going through a time of healing counsel and guidance,” he wrote. “During this time I have been given a renewed vision for 2025 as I work my way back to full pastoral duties. There is no way I will allow the devil himself to stop all that God has called us to do.”
Since Miller’s bizarre last sermon, Solid Rock Church has been the site of a protest and cries for “Justice for Mica” every Sunday. Protesters this week posted video of Miller exiting the church after the service and leaving the grounds in a black pick-up truck.

The black truck featured in the video above has become a hot topic on social media.
Content creater Robbie Harvey has announced he is releasing a video tomorrow with new evidence which he claims “will end the debate as to what happened to Mica on April 27th.”
“With the evidence I presented last week, along with this new video, I believe Mica Miller was murdered,” Harvey wrote in a post on his popular Facebook page.
FITSNews continues to delve into the many aspects of this case that have come to light since Mica’s death. Anyone with information is encouraged to reach out to research@fitsnews.com.

Don’t they always return with a “renewed vision?” What a joke.
Disturbing. He is not biblically qualified to pastor any church:
Above reproach.
Husband of one wife.
Sober-minded.
Self-controlled.
Respectable.
Hospitable.
Able to teach.
Not a drunkard. Not violent. Gentle. Not quarrelsome. Not a lover of money. Manage his household well. Having dignity. Submissive children. Not a recent convert (Mature in the faith).
