It was another big week on the Mica Miller front as the saga surrounding the beautiful South Carolina pastor’s wife continued to dominate discussion more than a month after her suspicious suicide was first reported by our media outlet.
In this episode of our Week in Review, research director Jenn Wood and I discussed an explosive new filing in this case – as well as some seismic revelations from an exclusive interview she conducted with Mica’s sister, Anna Francis.
Jenn and I also joined up with Week in Review producer Dylan Nolan – who traveled to Conway, S.C. for a court hearing and press conference related to the Mica Miller story. As Dylan reported earlier this week, attorney Regina Ward– who represents the Francis family – advocated at that event for legislation which would dramatically expand South Carolina’s domestic violence statutes to incorporate elements of “coercive control.”
This is a component of this story we will be tracking very closely over the coming weeks and months …

For those of you tracking the upcoming partisan primary elections in South Carolina, Dylan and I discussed three contested congressional races that have been driving headlines – as well as a broader battle for control of the S.C. State House.
We also briefly touched on incumbent U.S. president Joe Biden’s sagging … poll numbers?
The biggest political bombshell of the week, though, went to our Andy Fancher – whose in-depth reporting on an alleged adulterous relationship in a S.C. Senate race has tongues wagging in multiple counties.
