According to the release, Cantrell (above) and a co-defendant – Dylan S. Bryant – forcibly entered a home in Taylors, S.C. in October of 2017, armed themselves with handguns belonging to their victims and “filled a pillowcase with the victim’s property.”

“They also attempted to break into a safe filled with valuables,” the release (.pdf) noted.

Bryant, 20, was convicted last October in connection with the robbery and is currently serving a fifteen-year sentence at SCDC.

“Hopefully this prison sentence will make it clear to defendants that violating the security of one’s home will not be tolerated.” Wilkins said in a statement.

Wilkins credited assistant solicitor Jennifer Tessitore for prosecuting the case and securing a guilty plea from Cantrell.
