Ted Cruz Has A Porn Scandal

Why, internet? Why?

Published

We had hoped last spring would be the very last time we were ever forced to imagine U.S. Senator Ted Cruz in connection with anything sexual …

Seriously, the March 2016 Ted Cruz sex scandal was a disturbing on so many levels.

It scars us still …

Unbelievably, the fates have conspired to bring us yet another installment of Cruz-related prurience.  We’re referring of course to this week’s Cruz internet porn scandal – in which the former GOP presidential candidate (or someone with access to his Twitter account) “liked” a racy online pornographic video.

Take a look …

Yup, that’s Cruz’s official account giving a Twitter “heart” to some serious stepmother/ stepdaughter (plus one) action starring Cory Chase.

Speaking to reporters at the U.S. Capitol this week, Cruz said there were “a number of people” with access to his Twitter account and “it appears that someone inadvertently hit the ‘like’ button.”

“Inadvertently?”  Mmm-kay.

Sort of like the chief of staff to South Carolina’s governor “inadvertently” liked a tweet calling on his boss to remove the state’s attorney general from office?

“Inadvertent” like that?

“So it wasn’t you?” one reporter asked the Senator, according to Cruz’s spokeswoman, Catherine Frazier.

“It was a staffing issue and it was inadvertent,” Cruz replied. “It was a mistake.”

Hold up … that’s not answering the question.

Asked again whether he was the one who “liked” the video, Cruz eventually responded “no.”

Hmmmm …

Even some of Cruz’s former supporters in early-voting South Carolina were left scratching their heads over the bizarre incident.

“Why did it take two times (for Cruz to deny the allegation)?” one told us.  “With these allegations against someone like Cruz it’s interesting it took him that long.”

We agree … especially considering his campaign once cast a porn star in one of its commercials.

Of course if we can keep from having to write about any of this ever again, we will.

UPDATE …

It appears Cruz’s “inadvertent” like has sent views of this particular video clip soaring.
