“STRENGTHEN THE VOICE OF ADVOCACY”

The League of Women Voters of the Charleston, S.C. area will host an advocacy training event this month.

Entitled Stand Up, Speak Out! the event will feature three speakers: Claire Wofford of the College of Charleston, Bill Rogers of the South Carolina Press Association and Shayna Howell of the League of Women Voters’ communications office.

“Strengthen the voice of advocacy,” a release from the group noted.  “Learn about issues that affect our democracy.”

This event is scheduled to take place on Wednesday, March 8, at 5:30 p.m. and will be held at the Charleston County Main Library (68 Calhoun Street).
