… FOR THOSE CHILDREN WHO CAN AFFORD IT

New University of South Carolina head football coach Will Muschamp will take his show on the road over the next two months following the conclusion of spring practice.  And assuming you’ve got some extra cash lying around, you can pay to meet him (and maybe get an autograph).

First, here’s the schedule (and prices) for each stop …

Wednesday, April 20 – Midlands ($15.00)

Thursday, April 28 – Sumter ($25.00)

Tuesday, May 3 – Greenwood ($25.00)

Thursday, May 5 – Spartanburg ($15.00 adults, $5.00 children)

Tuesday, May 10 – Myrtle Beach ($35.00)

Thursday, May 12 – Florence ($20.00)

Tuesday, May 17 – Greenville ($5.00 adults, children free)

Wednesday, May 18 – Aiken ($15.00)

Tuesday, May 24 – Charleston ($20.00 adults, $10.00 children)

First of all, we’ve given Muschamp props for the way he has come in as a fifth-choice head coach and assembled a qualified staff while at the same time salvaging what could have been a disastrous recruiting situation.

He deserve credit … and as lifelong Gamecock fans we sincerely hope his hot start off the field is a good omen of things to come on it.

But does that mean Muschamp’s program is at the point where it should feel comfortable charging children to meet its head coach?

No.  In fact, hell no.

No athletic program (especially not one affiliated with a government-subsidized school) should ever charge kids to meet its coaches or athletes.  It’s bad form … especially for a team that went friggin’ 3-9 last season. Especially in a state as dirt poor as South Carolina.

Of course we have some broader views on college athletics that are applicable here … but you get the point.

Wouldn’t “spurs up” indicate that the chicken is dead?

I’m reserving my comments until the first five losses, and whoever is the head coach says, “We have young team, Don.”

When a rooster has spurs up, it means a fighting position, about to attack.

Or, he’s on his back with his feet in the air.

Well.. he COULD do it sitting on his butt.

(I know, I know, I’m a Carolina fan, but, as they say in Star Wars, “I got a BAD feeling bout this” year’s football efforts. Thank God for the women’s teams.)

You want something for free? Wouldn’t the Libertarian say that the free market is at work when you offer a good or service for $15.00 and people joyfully accept that offer and pay $15.00 for said good or service?

What a cheap Bastard Fuckin’ Cockroach

Next month he will be selling 50 cent 2 oz. bottles of his piss, Eau de Toilette Stinker

This Christmas for only $25 he will send you a genuine bonafide verified Will Muschamp Turd guaranteed to be grain free encased in a hermetically sealed Mrs. Duke’s Mayonnaise Jar

Next Spring for only a quarter you can get a 9 x 12 glossy of Will Muschamp being tarred and feathered right before he is floated out of Columbia on the Congaree River

Is he going to be in one of those dunking tanks? There might be a convoy from Auburn heading this way.

He’s still a state employee with a state-provided office playing in a state-owned stadium. Who the hell does he think he is charging people to see him? No other state employee charges for the privilege to see them and why should they? Muscrat keeps this up and he’ll lose support quickly.

While I’ve got “rubber tree plant ant” high hopes for this season I’m a little chagrined about charging for a “meet the head coach” who “hasn’t coached a down as head coach yet” tour. I wonder if he’ll give refunds if he doesn’t live up to the hype or if this is just his way of maximizing his income before getting fired?
