|| By FITSNEWS || Congressional “Republicans” must use the occasion of John Boehner’s impeding resignation as Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives to reassert their constitutional authority and budgetary power, a leading limited government advocate said this week.

“The transition provides a unique opportunity to reestablish the separation of powers between the branches of government,” said Rick Manning, president of Americans for Limited Government.  “Rep. Ken Buck has been at the forefront of the push to the defend the House’s Article I power of the purse, a vision shared by all House Republicans led by Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy.”

That’s true … Buck has been leading this charge.

Manning said it’s also a critical time for the GOP to start driving the debate on the budget.

“The budget discussions ahead provide the perfect opportunity for House Republicans to set the spending priorities for 12 of the remaining 15 months of the Obama Administration,” Manning added.  “The shift in power provides a golden opportunity for Congress to put its imprimatur on policies that stop Obama’s executive branch regulatory overreach.”

We agree …

“Republicans” in Congress have dropped the ball repeatedly on spending and on reining in the regulatory state. It’s past time they pick it up again … on both fronts.

Whatever. Planned Parenthood is safe and will continue to be funded.
The GOP will continue to look like a discombobulated bunch of clowns.
The only thing to do now is grab some popcorn, sit back and watch Trump continue to destory the party.

Is that why the Democrats and Obama were outraged and sad Boehner left?
I am amazed how stupid the liberals are on FitsNews.

I’m releasing my own line of microwaveable popcorn. It will be salted with Republican tears collected after I backstab the GOP for Hillary.

Sinking ship is right, but in the melee it’s hard to tell the con-clowns from the rats.

Over on Mick Mulvaney’s Facebook the crazies, which are his regular commenters, are rooting for Louie Gohmert as Speaker.

Just because he speaks with a Texas accent , don’t sell him short. He was a judge before he became a rep. Quite a guy. Do your homework. He is a strong conservative. Would make a great speaker.

Yes, I rule the country through marital law now thanks to SCOTUS ruling in favor of gay marriage. No, wait, marital law? It’s supposed to be martial law! God damn it, I’m going to have to do this all over again.

Finally after selling out our party and country , we are going to be rid of Boehner . Now to get a conservative speaker, not another establishment RINO.

Mulvaney doesn’t think it will happen. My prediction the House will still continue to be in gridlock with little positive being accomplished.

“I don’t think the conservative wing of the party has enough mass to get one of our own elected; we certainly have enough mass to influence the outcome,” Mulvaney said.

Now to get another sellout speaker, definitely another establishment RINO.

i can hardly agree more with the ‘sinking ship of fools’ comments. the clown bus and all in it think changing the driver will somehow change the simple math. they just don’t currently have the numbers to get the kind of control i think they envision! … really.

Really?…you expect this felon class of I-Lie-To-Conservatives-Joe Wilson who vote for Boehner and give Obama fast track and rip down patriots’ flag to see “gold???”

No…no—we KNOW their true colors and 2016 is coming when we will richly reward them ALL for shafting the conservatives who elected them and selling the nation’s soul !!!
