|| By FITSNEWS || Former Florida governor Jeb Bush says he wants to “slash the regulation tax” in America.

In an opinion piece published in The Wall Street Journal, the “Republican” establishment favorite – who has seen his poll numbers decline precipitously in recent weeks – says he will “roll back many of the most reckless and damaging rules” enacted by U.S. president Barack Obama.

“My goal as president would be to find and retire the rules that are posing a major obstacle to people who want to get a job, start a business, move up the income ladder or do anything else that contributes to the prosperity of this nation,” Bush wrote.  “If elected president, I will use my executive authority to direct agencies to create one dollar of regulatory savings for each new dollar of regulatory cost they propose.  We will eliminate and reform outdated and burdensome rules and, when necessary, work with Congress and the courts to overcome legal obstacles that stand in the way of sensible savings.”

Bush’s anti-regulatory initiative – which we support – represents his second major policy proposal aimed at changing the culture of Washington, D.C.  Or at least giving the impression he wants to change the culture of Washington, D.C.

Earlier this year, Bush proposed a hodgepodge of bureaucratic reforms.

Bush will be in South Carolina this week to discuss his reforms – attending an annual shrimp dinner sponsored by the East Cooper Republican Women’s Club.  That gathering will be held at Alhambra Hall (131 Middle Street, Mount Pleasant S.C.) on Thursday evening at 6:45 p.m. EDT.

Liberal-Tarians swinging for the fence.

If you didn’t do it before…now that the voters have rejected you for being a Moderate-Libertarian, don’t try some gimmick to save yourself.

Jeb, Sanford, FITSNews and Lindsay have no place as leaders. We’ll take your vote, but sit down and shut up after that.

Barbara Bush is a smart lady. She was right the first time. We don’t need any more Bushes in public office. I saw Jeb’s commercial for the Columbia market. Pretty pathetic. Nobody cares what you did in Florida. Your brother ruined the economic life of millions of Americans, and Blew Up The Effing Middle East! Maybe your campaign slogan should be “George fucked it up really bad, but I can fix it”. Yeah, right.

What you wanna bet that shrimp AIN”T local SC shrimp????
MAIN thing………………………..
Cruz (who has a small chance of getting to the general election) and Huckabee (no chance at all) are the only ones pushing no BS overhaul of the IRS to either an national sales tax (Huckabee and TEA Partiers try to brand it as the “Fair Tax” but they don’t have the balls to call it what it really is = a national sales tax) and Cruz “claims” to be supporting a flat tax (of which I’m in favor of in addition to a national sales tax of 5% – 10%)
I personally don’t like Cruz at all but if he makes the final cut and puts his hand on the bible and swears that he will do everything in his power to totally reform the IRS I’ll vote for the fucker on that principle alone.
Fuck all this shit about “tweaking” the tax code…that’s plain bullshit and I won’t be voting for Jeb

Ecuadorian and Thailand probably. Frozen but fresh.

sparklecity September 23, 2015 at 11:34 am

No doubt
The shrimp industry in the US is really hurting because of that very thing…
That’s why I don’t buy that shit in the grocery store whatsoever.
When shrimp season is in I go to Carolina Beach and buy it straight off the boat. Eat fresh shrimp while on vacation then freeze about 10 pounds for “low country boil”

Rocky Verdad September 23, 2015 at 2:08 pm

The imported stuff is really good actually. It’s scored with the highest quality stuff going to restaurants since domestic shrimp (protected with tariff’s by George W Bush) – which is why it’s usually around $10 a pound. What you get in the grocery store is crap. Also, that “fresh” stuff you buy near the coast, might just be the imported stuff – they’re not required to disclose it.

sparklecity September 23, 2015 at 11:46 pm

Not at Carolina Beach,,NC……
I’ve watched them unload the boat and shoveled the ice myself…..

shrimp season September 23, 2015 at 11:42 am

RogueElephant September 24, 2015 at 8:57 am

You haven’t been keeping up. The fair tax IS a national sales tax, in lieu of all the other taxes we are stuck with. You get your whole pay check and are only taxed at the final sale. The rate is set to not increase taxes but to spread the load to everyone. This would get most of the people that run under the radar now. It is the only fair tax. You say you want a flat tax as well as a sales tax. You must be a tax and spend liberal. Thought so.

Bill September 24, 2015 at 7:29 pm

All sales tax proposals are designed to shift taxes from the mega-wealthy to the middle class. That is it. Every single plan put forth, by Republicans of course, exempts everything the billionaire class would be taxed on. The “Fair” tax is anything but Fair.

When they include in the sales tax purchases of stocks, bonds, investments of all types, corporations, businesses, professional services, real estate, business equipment, etc. etc. we will talk. Until then it is a scam designed to increase your taxes so that the mega-wealthy can pay less. Trickle down times ten.

SC needs to get rid of its income tax, and professionals who make good money should have to pay through the ass at tax time. As for federals regs, we will always need food safety rules, airplane rules, train rules, bus rules, smog and pollution rules, nuclear power rules, and tax rules. Otherwise people will get hurt, poisoned, injured, die you name it. Why not eliminate corporate welfare? why not bring jobs back from overseas? why not have real ethics reform? Why do we elect people who fuck us over? One party rule is BAD.

TyroneAgain September 24, 2015 at 1:25 pm

….should NOT have to pay…..
