PREPARE YOUR TASTEBUDS …
|| By FITSNEWS || Fall doesn’t officially begin until September 23, but you can get a jump start on the season next weekend at the 29th Annual Columbia, S.C. Greek Festival.
Held each year at the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church (1931 Sumter Street), the event runs from September 17 – 20 (Thursday through Sunday) from 10:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m. EDT each day.
Well, except Sunday … when it runs from 12:00 noon to 8:00 p.m.
A celebration of culture, food and faith – the festival is one of our favorite South Carolina events, drawing dozens of vendors and thousands of people each year.
The food? To die for …
Never had Spanakopita? Or Spetsofai? Never savored Keftedakia? Or Fasolada? You’re missing out …
Also don’t forget the festival is famous for its Greek Folk Dancing, which kicks off on Friday evening.
Want more information? Visit the festival’s official website. Got questions? Send an email to ColumbiasGreekFestival@gmail.com.
