|| By FITSNEWS || As of this writing, the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) is down. United Airlines was forced to ground its planes this morning due to a computer glitch. The Wall Street Journal, Zero Hedge and other websites (including FITS) have experienced sporadic outages.

What gives?

It’s not clear, although real-time monitoring from Norsecorp shows a barrage of cyber attacks (most of them emanating from China) relentlessly targeting the St. Louis, Missouri area today.

Take a look …

Spooky …

The White House is reportedly monitoring the situation, although according to the NYSE, “the issue we are experiencing is an internal technical issue and is not the result of a cyber breach.”

Here’s what that crash looked like …

Even the two of you, as far right as you come off, are concerned? If not, good. This economy will thrive on fears. Fears that are created at home. If we play into them, then I am of the strong belief it could be our undoing.

America is very resilient.

I may be concerned but the solution is way above my pay grade.

Reply
Lynn July 8, 2015 at 3:19 pm

It’s above mine too – hell how much lower can you go than a lowly stay at home mom? Ha!

I don’t have the solutions, but I know some of the problems, so that gives me insight into solution. I wasn’t always a stay at home mom.

I am for a strong defense, but my we are fighting different wars today. It isn’t the Born on 4th of July movie, where we face off with the enemy toting guns. It is my opinion things are far more clandestine. That is what is confusing America population, they do not understand it.

It isn’t as simple as a shoot off, as morbid as that was, we knew the enemy. Today’s world is far different. If Graham used his defense knowledge in ways that American’s could relate to vs. the cold hard brutality of waging a war, he would have a better message. Today’s wars are not fought the same way. Not in my opinion. He doesn’t need to give away secrets, assuming he even has them? He simply needs to state them in terms we can relate to. Our war is technology. That is just an opinion.

I just read a blog about anti-gravity, and I’m
telling you, it’s impossible to put down

Is there a blogger whose creative life hasn’t
been punctuated with slow writing periods?

Also, as a blogger, it’s best to avoid beer.
Sometimes that first draft can get in the way of your novel ideas.

I wrote a pregnancy blog once with “can’t” and
“don’t.” The first comment was: “You are having contractions!”

I lie awake at night sometimes worrying that my words, phrases, and punctuation will end up in court. Why? To be sentenced, of course.

Before I found this site, at one time I was somewhat of a dedicated copy editor. Unfortunately, when I saw typos I became [sic].

While doing research for a blog on sign language, nothing handy came up, at least nothing I could put my finger on.

I was once asked to do a blog about atheist mathematicians. I couldn’t find any, because they all believe in higher powers.

We bloggers are sometimes deep thinkers. For example, if pencils came with erasers at both ends, what would be the point?

Lynn July 8, 2015 at 8:09 pm

If I had a blog, I think my most creative writing/inspiration in politics might a drink or 20.

I once tried to drown my sorrows at the bottom of a glass, but the bastards learned how to swim and I was overwhelmed with a feeling of happiness. Said an artist that far more eloquent than me.

Are you far right? What is that? I know you are a man of faith, family, work hard and love your country. :)

RogueElephant July 8, 2015 at 10:08 pm

When I was a mere child I considered myself right of center. (I refuse to call myself moderately conservative–oxymoron ) The political center has moved so far left over the last fifty years that I now find myself on the far right even though my political ideas haven’t moved that much. I still believe in following the Constitution , I still believe in property rights. Second amendment says what it means and things like that.

You will only be concerned when it impacts your pocket. That is when most of us are concerned.

I’ve heard everything from the prediction of a collapse prior to 2016 (which I argued) to we are in a collapse.

Both were a possibility, slim they might be. The looming global market instability is a danger. But only if we have a knee jerk reaction.

Don’t worry Squishy, I’m sure that brass and lead market is secure. Got any gold?

‘Bout that cyber security everyone hates. That invasion of privacy. If you think for one minute other countries will not exploit our weakness, I have a bunch of gold rock for sell. I read the articles day after day about American spying on it’s allies. Our allies spy on us! There are agreements with some counties, I would have to look them up to be, but some we may not spy on.

Maybe now you now you see why. Why would China do this? Look at their economy. People say, why be afraid of Greece, their economy is so small does not affect us. In all fairness, it shouldn’t based on our dealings. However, there is largely a disagreement between logical and behavioral economist.

Logic requires the people to react logically. Behavior plays on emotion.

It may very well be one hell of a ride, but I am happy to be an American. I feel confident we can weather the storms ahead. If people believe in America.

This whole NWO crap, well, we are seeing it play out. We are in a global economy. Oooops….lemme guess….we now need more regulations. ;)

FITS is swallowing the party line here.

The closure of the NYSE is entirely a Gruberment responsibility.

Yes, there are black hat hackers out there. Yes Anormonourses are prone to wishing bad things for the Corporate/Gruberment Manipulated Internet. Yes, these hats-on-backwards dungeon dwellers are playing games with the stock exchange systems … and have been regularly.

The g’ment in the form of the fed/SEC can only control the NYSE because it is an old fashioned Central Planning/Top Down captive system. G’ment does not have control over the NASDAQ or the Chicago Board of Trade or the FTSI or the DAC because these are all distributed systems, with market links World Wide.

So, when the Chinese market exchanges acted up very late last night and then the CBT ^VIX shot up five days + in a row and this AM before markets opened, well, Gruberment took steps to avert a possible crash in the g’ment “owned” NYSE … Hey! There are way too many g”ment pensions at risk. Hey, there is too much vested interest by congressional insiders at risk. Hey! There are too many g’ment tax increases relying on fat markets to generate “much needed” revenues.

And it ain’t over until it’s over. My guess is Cash is King until September … and even then, “more hogs will be butchered”.

(Disclosure: I sold every equity in every account I have control over, yesterday.)

It’s time to take sides, I don’t care what your politics are, we are all American’s and we all have something invested in our country. We cannot allow those who wish to do us harm, simply because we are trying to get along.

Democrats typically crush military. Why hasn’t Obama, who is a far left Democrat IMO? Why didn’t his apologies and efforts to work with other countries work? It’s akin to asking why one can’t make friends with those who wish to do you harm.

It’s a non-partisan issue. It is an American issue. That is why I despise partisan politics right now. It is time to come together, not only as a state, but as the United States.

The time for partisan politics, in spite of the upcoming election when we are at our weakest, is not now.

Anyone who wants to display partisan politics. I’m not interested. I am very interested in how we can bring ALL those who live in America together. That is far more important than any deportation, fence building, privacy, isolationist policy.

pOgo July 8, 2015 at 5:00 pm

User fees are the ONLY way you are going to get everybody to pay their fair share. Gas,cigs, booze, lottery tickets etc…

Cut income taxes on those that work and pay the bills in a state. Gas tax? Say somebody drives 50 miles a day.25 mpg. 2 gallons of gas a day. Gas tax raised 3 cents a gallon. That is 30 CENTS a week. PLEASE!

If one can’t afford 30 CENTS extra week then they need to get off their fat ass,off the computer, turn the tv off,put the donuts down and find a job or TWO!

EBT purchases should be taxed. The hard working taxpayers give you $300-500 in free food and you can’t afford $20 bucks? That is two frozen pizzas and a couple of bags of Little Debbies.

“… How much damage can [international hackers] do? …” There are plenty of white hat hackers who make a very good living from g’ment and private sources by blocking and combating the black hat hackers. This is one arena that we should never let incompetent g’ment employees do, since every fed and state cyber system has been hacked to one extent or another, so far.

“… Democrats typically crush military. Why hasn’t Obama, who is a far left Democrat IMO? …” IMO Obama is simply a tool of the “progressives” and only is overtly a lefty.

“… It’s a non-partisan issue. It is an American issue. That is why I despise partisan politics right now. …” Absolutely! And it is a national security issue.

“… I am very interested in how we can bring ALL those who live in America together. That is far more important than any deportation, fence building, privacy, isolationist policy. …”

Again I agree completely. Divisive Politics has no place in the public forum any more.

N. Korea’s attack on Sony came through China. The US knew this because we had hacked N. Korea’s computers.

Lynn July 8, 2015 at 6:08 pm

I have no doubt what you are saying is true, it goes right back to we all spy on each other. I think there is an agreement we don’t spy on certain countries, but I’m not sure how much weight that carries. There are many cases of spying that are well published, not worth bringing into the argument.

It really doesn’t matter to me. If my neighbor says they aren’t going to spy on me, I would be disinclined to spy on them. However, if I thought or more specifically KNEW they were spying on me, well, I’d likely spy on them too.

That is an unrealistic scenario or maybe I am unrealistic in the fact I don’t think my neighbor ‘spies’ on me for political gain, but if I thought they did — I would fight fire with fire.

As I believe our state and our country should.

They ain’t too concerned
But you those right wingnuts on talk radio will go wild and the ads for “MeMaw & PePaw” to put their investments in a “guaranteed that your money is safe with me because we are heavy in gold” will go through the roof!!!
Those vultures prey on scared old folk……………….

Naw, right wingnut talk radio wouldn’t exist if it weren’t for scared old folks………plus insecure types in general…….
All you need to do is listen to the commercials (and there are a SHITLOAD of them!!!) in order to see the demo of right wingnut talk radio.
Full of ads for health related issues, old folks homes for MeMaw & Pepaw, and “put you investments in so & so”
That is one thing about terra radio – all you have to do to determine the demographic/audience of a radio station is listen to the ads they play.
I have a minor in Business and had a marketing class or two so I find stuff like that interesting.
