SUICIDE SAID TO HAVE “NO NEXUS TO TERRORISM”
|| By FITSNEWS || The United States Capitol building was placed on a precautionary lockdown after an as-yet-unidentified man committed suicide in front of dozens of onlookers on the west side of the building.
Also a “suspicious package” – reportedly a suitcase – related to the shooting was found on the lower west terrace of the building, which is in the midst of extensive exterior renovations.
The man was wearing a blue backpack and had a sign taped to his hand – reportedly a reference to “social justice” and the “one percent,” or the super wealthy who continue to benefit from the economic policy emanating from Washington, D.C.
A spokeswoman for the U.S. Capitol police said the shooter “neutralized” – without officers having to discharge their weapons.
“There are no indications at this point of terrorism,” an unnamed federal official told NBC News.
Still, the Capitol and its visitors’ center were placed on lockdown in the aftermath of the shooting – and several roads around the building were closed as a precautionary measure.
The lockdown was lifted a few hours later, though, following an examination of the suitcase and book bag.

Oddly two things. One, the Capital is home to the House of Representatives and the Senate. So it would appear his beef was with the GOP, or maybe them and Bibi since Bibi is now an honorary member of the GOP caucus. And if the demonstration was about a feeble economy – remember – we were told it was Mitch McConnell’s and the GOP economy starting Jan 1 – meaning it only took them 90 days to screw it up.
