BUT NO “VORTEX …”

By FITSNEWS  ||  Cue Elsa and Anna, because the United States is “Frozen.”  And no we’re not talking about all the money Disney is going to make off of its two Ice Princesses from Arendelle – stars of the animated movie Frozen – we’re referring to the latest blast of wintry air across the country.

Temperatures in all fifty states dipped below freezing on Monday night – and another freeze is expected Tuesday night.

Wait … even in Hawaii?  And Florida?

Yup.  Temperatures on Mauna Kea (the tallest mountain on the big island of Hawaii) dipped below freezing on Monday night – as did temperatures in the Florida panhandle.

Here’s what last night looked like temperature-wise …

Contrary to the mainstream media reporting, this cold weather is not the result of the “Polar Vortex.”  It’s just a typical cold front – created by an especially deep trough of low pressure that’s enabled arctic air to dip further southward than usual.  This particular cold front was caused by the remnants of Typhoon Nuri – a massive Pacific Ocean tropical system whose remnants slammed into Alaska last week and helped push the trough southward.

Or at least that’s what WPBH-TV 9 weatherman Phil Connors told him …

Anyway, the “Polar Vortex” isn’t some irregular storm system –  the typical flow of cold air around the earth’s poles.

Of course that’s not stopping the press from jumping all over the narrative.

“A second Polar Vortex threatens to erase the stimulus from plunging gas prices, putting a deep freeze on holiday spending,” reported senior stocks correspondent Elizabeth MacDonald of Fox News.  “This time it’s expected to hit an estimated 200 million people in the U.S., or about three-fourths of the country.”

The media turned “polar vortex” into a buzzword, so now they’ll abuse it to no end, just like how light snow becomes a “blizzard” and a bit of rain with a tiny amount of lightning is a “severe thunderstorm.”

Sensationalism makes the corporate media world go round.

Yet again…a nice reminder that the media is nothing more than a business.

Gotta sell advertisements. Sell sell sell!

“The media turned “polar vortex” into a buzzword”

I’m hoping to get the hashtag “#Goreanweather” rolling on twitter every time there’s some unusual weather.

Will, you might want to check for agreement in statements made in the first and last paragraphs. You first posited “polar votex” as a mainstream media buzzword, then at the end you gave a Fox News report as an example. Don’t be fucking with our polarities like that, man. You’ll give us inverted vortexes of the brain — and Big T will freeze his ass off.

Yeah, I sure wish someone would fix global warming before we all freeze. LOL But, not to worry, it will be back next August.

The only issue is I *like* 100 95 degree days. Anything below 70 sucks ass.

TBG has a question and a request of this site’s Manmade Global Warming advocates:

The Question…
What would it take for you to change your mind and conclude that “Manmade Global Warming” is politically motivated BS?

The Request…
If your above named criteria are met AND you become convinced that the earth is, in fact, cooling, will you promise not to blame the cooling on pollution/civilization/mankind?

Isn’t Mauna Kea usually snow-capped?

Sic, Please pay the $300 a year to become a member of weatherbell. You will like them as they hate global warming and give you several daily updates and are on the money. The reason why I say that is bc at first they were saying it was not a vortex but now they say it is. I am not going to steal their thunder though.

Relative to normal today is the coldest November day since 1976. This is as cold as it has been in November in 38 years.
